ps3 softmod help

ok guys this is a long and strange story i had got hold of a ps3 slim a few years ago and soft moded it and it was working fine play ps3 dumps through multiman. now my daughter was using the ps3 for around a year to watch sky tv through the app and the ps3 updated so the softmod now is gone and the ps3 in now on the new firmware. so i went down the road of trying to install a new softmod went through a few videos on youtube and followed them step by step get to install the new firmware and it fails everytime so if anyone can help me out i would be greatfull the ps3 slim i have is one that can be soft moded this has been chequed on ps3xploit please help a guy out cheers
 
You should mention your exact PS3 model, is printed in a sticker in the console and starts with CECH****

And the ps3xploit web is going to tell if your PS3 is compatible with CFW

We don't have enough details to provide the help you are requesting.
You have not told us what you did to the console to jailbreak, what steps were successful & what step(s) failed. If you are getting a PS3 error at any point, you need to tell us when it happens & what the error message says, if there is an error number, you need to provide us with it, better yet, post screenshots of your issue.
 
used this youtube video and followed step by step when i get to install of the new firmware rebug it fails i have tryed the 2 versions of rebug from the site and it is the 2 newer ones comes up as the data is corrupted (8002f169)

bgtoolset should have told you to reboot if it worked properly. after reboot install rebug lite 4.86. if it does not work, post the error number here.
 
Ok tryed this about 30 times yesterday and 3 times today as the old saying goes 33 time a charm lol got it to work guys thanks not sure what the problem was but it now works cheers
