PS3 ps3 v2.52

Ahhhh okay, so I just update it? I heard Linux could be installed there called yellow dog?
Yellow Dog is totally obsolete.
Red Ribbon Linux for PS3 is the latest distro available, it's also obsolete but a little less so than Yellow Dog.

If ever you wish to partition your ps3 hdd to install Linux on the internal hdd rather than on USB (slower), I suggest you do that now before updating firmware.

Thank you so much! Is there a guide for it? Because I been searching how to do some features on it but YouTube don't help

I never found YT to be a reliable source of ps3 information, I much prefer tutorials or guides written by people who know what they are talking about technically speaking.
Anyway what you are really after is a tutorial about the old official way to prepare your hdd for Linux, in the other words a tutorial that is 10+ years old..

The attached pdf tells you what to do, only the part called "PS3 Preparation" (on pdf page 4 but it is really the guide's page 3) is relevant, there is no need to complete the steps that come after until you really want to install Linux with a chosen distro. You can also skip the keyboard & mouse setup until you install Linux, you won't need them until then iirc.

Once that is done, you can safely update to 4.8x. I suggest you install Rebug 4.86.1 Lite or Rebug REX 4.84.2 which are both OtherOS++ ready. From there you can install the Rebug Toolbox (included in the CFW), install petitboot using the Toolbox dedicated feature & finally boot into petitboot to install the Linux distro of your choice, Red Ribbon for PS3 is available as iso & easy to find, there is also a thread dedicated to Red Ribbon installation in this forum, refer to it if you need to. With the iso, you can burn a CD or use Rufus, or whatever else, to turn the iso into a bootable usb stick.
