PS3 Ps3HEN not starting, then hangs

I updated to the latest version of HEN and it seemed to be fine, but today I'm trying to get hen to start and it often goes through the motions but does not go anywhere. It then works after a few tries or it just freezes the system.

Any idea why this might be?

Using the xmb icon? This generally would be a hardware issue or a plugin or custom mapping.

You can try to hold R2 while hen is loading to disable plugins, just to see if it works.

You can also try to hold L2 while hen is loading to disable mappath remappings.

If it still doesn't work, I would be suspicious of hardware, hdd, etc.

Does it just hang at logo?

As a last resort, reinstall the HFW, and then reinstall HEN again
