PS3HEN PS3HEN - Official Release Thread (Homebrew Enabler for the PS3) v3.5.0 (4.93 support)

You just helped prove my point further. You keep replying with an added childish attitude. Grow up. Yes you admit being wrong, but drop the attitude.

Nothing you say or do speeds up their work. It's just useless. People have zero patience these days and act like entitled children when they don't get what they want when they want it.

It will be released when it's done and ready. Plain and simple. Deal with it.
Or its just that when something is said to come out at one time and doesnt its annoying because its in the early hours of the morning for me, and the whole point wasnt me wanting it out right away it was me saying dont give eta's because of the reason i allready stated. i dont care when it comes out as long as im not told its coming out at a different time, which ive realised what my fault anyway. your the one acting childish joining a conversation that has nothing to do with you and acting like you know everything

Man thought this was an important message...

The release will be delayed indefinitely, next year maybe, who knows...
Those devs really are lazy c#nts, aren't they? [emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787]

Humour.. don't fret.. [emoji23]
2 weeks early for April's Fool but given some of the messages in this thread lately, I just couldn't help it..

More seriously, after investigation, the cause of the 403 issue on the server has finally been identified and understood, it is now under control although it requires esc0 to modify paths in various HEN files, recompile binaries etc.. and retest it all of course..

Consequently, as we focused on that issue, we had no time last night for the last of the Toolset tests, and my own release is delayed also by an additional 24 or 48h. Cascading effect..

Luckily, with this added delay, we will surely get some more whining posts in the meantime to entertain us all.. and for us to ignore entirely of course.. [emoji4]

On behalf of the team, thanks to the greatest majority of users for their continued patience, and thanks for the many kind words regularly posted here and there, it's always appreciated.

You just proved my point again lol

I have every right to comment like everyone else and haven't tried making this all about me at all. You are. You're acting like this has personally affected you all because you gave it your own release date and when it came and went you threw a fit. Now it got delayed again and I actually find that funny because now I know you'll be even more angry and probably stomping the ground in a tantrum.

Get out of your high chair, go have a bottle of milk and take a long nap, kid.

I'll be the adult here and not respond further so go ahead and get that last word in and feel like you've won ;)

Do you feel better now? Got that out of your system?

I've been using the tools and knowledge here for years but never felt the need to make an account until today. I suck at C++ so I probably wouldn't be much help even though Im a developer professionally. I get the random headaches you guys are facing with the config issues. Everything you have built is incredibly impressive, and everyone here benefits from it. I don't get the mentality of those who gripe about your self imposed timelines.
I made an account today to voice some words of encouragement and to give a vote for the mods (provided it's feasible and not a timesink) to hand out 72 hour forum bans to anyone griping about ETAs. No one needs that or the defensive follow ups.

I feel great knowing the person will have to wait even longer now. I don't care how that makes me look. There's too many immature and entitled people today that whine when things don't go their way. Especially over stuff they caused themselves.

People wanting to mod their systems should know better than to let them auto update. Especially if there's a chance they're already modded. Any guide out there will tell you right at the start to turn that off and keep it off. Then they throw hissy fits at people like YOU over actions THEY made.

It gets old seeing this every time an update gets released for any system out there. I know this comes off like I'm whining about these people, but I actually find it hilarious when they have to wait even longer.

take a break bro, you seem to care more than me now

Geez, what's the deal?

Everyone here's got their own life, Esc0 and the others are doing this stuff for FREE, in their spare time after a long day's work. They're testing it out in all sorts of conditions, trying different firmwares and conditions.

Sure, sometimes unexpected things happen, like the error 403 that is happening when trying to download the P3T file. THAT'S WHY IT IS GETTING DELAYED A BIT, But , NOBODY here's got to do any of this—it's all voluntary.

So instead of DEMANDING THINGS, COMPLAINING ABOUT DEADLINES., let's show some appreciation that we're getting quality work done for FREE.

Use the time you're wasting here not contributing at all, and take the opportunity to HELP the project.

  • bgtoolset (Jailbreak tool) - HERE (read "help & donations")
  • ps3xploit (HEN, HAN, NoPSN) - HERE

Homebrew developers:

And if you can contribute to improve the hen code, you can HERE

if you CAN NOT, show some respect and wait for it.
Not once have I demanded anything. I have actually been quiet while waiting, I simply was pointing out what were told and suggested that more testing should have been done before announcing a timeframe.
You have no right to demand anything here from anyone, just thank the developers for spending their time on this and wait patiently for the release, which will be very soon.

I'm not "demanding" anything. I have been exceedingly patient and understand these things take time. I simply stated what we were told and suggested more testing be done before announcing a timeframe for release.

testing is done. something is misconfigured on the webserver.
Thank you, this is the response I expected and wanted.
I dont really care....but.

So how does that math not work out? There are 24 hours in a day, so monday and tuesday are the 48 hours (or so), making wednesday release day, which was yesterday. I couldnt release yesterday, from the issues i said previously. So now we are in Thursday and we are working out the issue now.

Also, I am up early in the morning, so when i post and say 48 hours, its probably already into the current day

yes, just have to finish final tests live on server
Thank you, this is the response I expected and wanted, not what some of the ones I've gotten have been.

I mean, there never was technically a release date, it was a mere comment letting everyone know where we were in our progress.

Under normal circumstances, once HEN is recompiled with new offsets and any small changes, testing is done offline to confirm the files work. New packages are then made with changes. After that, the files are uploaded to server and tested live for each version, with lowest firmware being tested first.

That process is usually smooth after offline has been confirmed.

When I made that original announcement, I was expecting no major issues over the next couple days.

Then of course, when testing live, we ran into 403 errors, which was not normal. After fixing that problem over many hours, there is now another issue possibility with the installer HTML page failing to launch HEN on older firmware.

These were unexpected problems.

So I guess next time I won't post anything until fully done testing. Not a huge deal.

Thanks to everyone for their patience. :)

No worries. Sadly all I have is a Super Slim so I can't do CFW but looking forward to the release.

Don't mind if I PM you for testing the beta HEN on 4.90 HFW? I haven't updated it luckily.

Hey bro, love your work! With out you, our little MvC2 community would probably die off. Do you have a patreon or donation link? I'd like to buy you a case of beer or whatever you're drinking!

You can donate using this link from the official site http://ps3xploit.me

if the issue can not be resolved quickly, people on these firmwares can use the alternate installer or lmn7's autohen. i only added a few bytes to the alternate installer for 4.91 so it should be fine. even better, autohen doesn't need to launch hen to install it.
