thank you, your work and everyone else that has worked on it its much appreciated, pay no mind to the whiners that got themselves in that mess.

might have to put a warning in big red bold letters to not update whenever a new fw drops, having them do a repetition assignment or whatever its called in english the one that bart its doing on the simpsons intro writing on the blackboard to something like "must not update firmware" 100 times or something lol

Guys, first let me thank you, I cannot thank you enough for all the work you have done and all the fun you are given to this old yet cheerful guy!

My question is simple: Can I use the Hen installer "alternate" method to inject the payload? Using of course ps3xploit.me? I already installed HFW 4.91 and I have a PS3 Slim 3000.

Please let me know, because all other methods simply don't work (never have) for me. Thanks again brothers!

Many many thanks to you esc0rtd3w, Joonie, everyone at ps3xploit and the PSX place community for the continuous support to HEN throughout the years, this couldn't be possible without your efforts to keep the PS3 alive. I'm very grateful to you all :cheerful:
Had no troubles installing HEN 3.3.0 using the auto installer and it seems to be running smoothly so far! WebMAN MOD 1.47.45 also working fine.

Thanks everyone specially esc0rtd3w and joonie for thhe awesome support for hen releases
Wanted to ask, am still on Hen 3.2.1 and HFW 4.90.1 and using the bypass method to sign in to psn
Should I upgrade to latest hen and HFW and keep everything updated? If so what is fastest way to auto update everything without the need to install everything again from scratch?
Am just afraid if installing the new HFW 4.91.1 and latest hen would remove everything i installed on the ps3 so far

The easiest way is just use the Uninstall HEN option under HFW Tools Maintenance, then install HFW 4.91. You wont lose any files, except default HEN files (hdd/flash) and files in flash.

You can stay on 4.90 and use update option in HFW Tools also, or turn on Auto updates for HEN, but you would still have to use bypass method for psn

Thanks for the reply,
another question please, If i wanna install HFW 4.91 I can do it using USB through XMB or Safe mode? Cause I remember first time ever installing HFW there was an error to install through XMB but it worked fine through Safe Mode.

Also if I choose to not update to HFW 4.91, isany risk if I stayed on 4.90? risk of ban or anything? I don't mind using Hen to bypass the psn update checker as long as it is safe

Hello this is my first time downloading HFW and HEN but when I click the link of HFW 4.91.1 its not working and its not getting downloaded, maybe its something i missed please help

There are 2 additional mirrors for HFW 4.91.1 posted on Brewology

Mirror 1: https://mega.nz/file/AbxlwZZR#Dmcc10OrCOVhfCGXwydUvpEDzjXuVM-q9D-SgcieMx0
Mirror 2: https://www.mediafire.com/file/vvqd18e9emjdb44/HFW_4.91.1.zip/file

Just extract the zip on the root directory of an USB storage device formatted in FAT32 MBR.

If on lower fw, xmb should work, if on same fw, recovery needed for nand, I believe.

As a rule, just use recovery and it will work.

Always some ban risk when not on 100% OFW, as we don't know exactly what $0ny checks or cares about.

Ok last question I promise
Is it ok if I just install latest HFW directly without deleting hen first? then update hen through HFW tools and should be ok?
I mean why the process of deleting Hen before installing HFW 4.91.1? cause I will have to do the website and hen installation process all over again if i uninstalled it totally I guess?

HEN installs files on the internal HDD and dev_flash.

When you reinstall HFW, all the HEN files on dev_flash are replaced by the original files. But the files in the internal HDD remain installed.

You need to delete HEN before reinstall HEN again to have a clean installation. If you don't remove HEN before reinstall HEN again, you will have a "dirty" installation. That means that the old files with the same name are replaced, but the old ones not present in the new installation will remain in your system.

The Uninstall HEN option under HFW Tools Maintenance is the easiest and quickest way to remove all of HEN. After it reboots, just navigate to auto installer page and it should reinstall new version just fine.

You can't delete all of the files using a file manager or ftp because there are 3 protected files while HEN is running. The Uninstall HEN option uses the unchecked traversal paths to remove protected files.

Optionally, you can also disable remap using HFW Tools Development option, or holding L2 while HEN loads, using a Sony controller, and then remove protected files.

I reinstalled HEN without uninstalling HEN first, can I still have a clean install by uninstalling it now?
Or am I fucked?. I have reinstalled the HFW without uninstalling HEN

When I went to update to HFW 4.91, it gives me this message

"Until further notice, please remain on this firmware.
Visit PS3Xploit.me for new exploit announcements regarding newer firmware versions"

Am I doing something wrong?
