First of all, i have been lurking here since ages but decided to finally make an account.
I have a Slim PS3 with HEN and i'm trying to play Armored Core 4 with a Dualshock 4 controller. When i start the game everything goes fine until the gameplay begins and for some reason the Triggers (L1, L2, R1 and R2) don't respond; before you ask, no it's not a Hardware problem, i test this with 2 other DS4 controllers and with none of those work, then i decided to test a Broken DS3 controller i have and guess what? the Triggers work with that controller. So now im asuming it's a problem of compatibility with DS4 and that specific game (as far as i see this also happens with games like GTA V and RDR).
So checking online i see people recommending PS3Xpad, i found this specific Reddit Post (i can't add the link but the name is "PS3XPAD Dualshock V2 Wireless HEN Complete Guide" ) that has the plugin signed for HEN and i follow it's tutorial with 1 main difference, i don't want to play wireless, i want to play with my DS4 wired.
I send the plugin folder into the plugin folder of hdd0 and i write the sprx file route in boot_plugin.txt. Whenever i start the console and initiate HEN i get a Pop Up with "XPAD Loaded (VSH)", but for some reason i cannot open the VSH menu with Start + Select + Square. I Tried with 3 different DS4 controllers, all of them plugged to the PS3, i also tried with my DS3 but is so broken that it cannot do Button Combinations. I even try with the Playstation move vibrator thing and then damn VSH menu doesn't appear.
Supposedly, when a game starts there should appear a Pop up with "XPAD Loaded (GAME)" but that never appears and of course, the combination Start + Select + R3 doesn´t do anything at all.
So, any ideas on why i can't open the VSH menu for PS3Xpad? i had Webman installed and i can open the VSH menu with Select correctly. I decided to uninstall Webman because maybe that menu overwrote the VSH menu from before but it still doesn't appear.
Are there alternatives for PS3Xpad? maybe a pkg that can be activated from XMB like any other program? or another Plugin that does the same?
