PS3 HAN PS3Xploit v3 HAN/HFW XMB Waves Installer [lines.qrc]

Now Supports 4.88 HFW!
HAN from PS3Xploit v3.0 is evolving and showing some of the possibilities as developer's and the PS3Xploit team continue the progression of this hack for PS3 3/4k models (non-cfw compatible). Recently we seen the PS3Xploit team release the Coldboot Installer (aka boot logo) . The team/devs are not stopping with only that release but a start of many tools that can transfer your XMB. Now the team has just released a new XMB Wave Installer, now we can use custom XMB waves on those ps3 models. The coldboot Installer and now the XMB Wave installer is not all.. esc0rtd3w one of the members of Team Ps3Xploit has already announced RCO Replacer / Image Font Replacer and also the "What's New @PSX-Place" XMB mod will be coming to follow in the near future as well.

UPDATE (2018-04-11): ALL HAN TOOLS HAVE BEEN UPDATED TO SUPPORT 4.82 DEX!

    How To Use:
    • 4.82 OFW: Download XMB Wave Installer ZIP archive
    • 4.84/4.85 HFW: Download XMB Wave Installer ZIP archive
    • Extract the files
    • Place lines.qrc on USB flash drive or select one of the internal HDD options**
    • 4.82 OFW: Navigate to this link or use local files above and a webserver
    • 4.84/4.85 HFW: Navigate to this link or use local files above and a webserver
    • Run the exploit from page and allow console to reboot fully
    • Done! Enjoy your new XMB Wave :D

** You can also create a package that holds resources or files to copy using Extra Tools and use this instead of USB as source. Default directories are /dev_hdd0/game/PS3XPLOIT/extras/ and /dev_hdd0/game/HANTOOLBX/files/

For custom files, simply replace with valid files/proper names and they should work!

Assuming that the exploit is pretty recent and only this site offers any information about it, would make anybody doubt about finding information on regular google searchs. But thanks anyway.
he probably just means that the methods, tools, customs have been available for a long time for CFW compatible consoles. the exploit lets newer consoles now take advantage of them.

i am not too familiar with waves but any good tutorial or info on them that is older will still apply as far as creation.

getting the file there, you can just use the exploit

I have a tutorial on it. it's kinda long, but it's not that hard to do. I'd suggest just starting with a basic color change. the other options require a lot of trial and error. there's no way to debug the wave, so testing can take a while.

here's one of my waves:

http://www.mediafire.com/file/gq1gx1qgb3wosmo/PS3~dev_blind~vsh~resource~qgl.zip

it's vertical and looks like it changes color especially if you cycle through the months and times. it's also using rebug logo particles. :)
Just wanted to say thank you for one of the absolute coolest custom wave files I've stumbled across! And I love the fact that the background isn't set to black like most of the others I find-- I use the background XMB color as a visual indicator of which account I'm logged into (brown for PS3Xploit account, white for JP account, pink for US account).

I honestly just tried this wave on a whim, as despite having such a large collection of custom waves to chose from, the vast majority I did not like. This one is incredible, and the vertical wave makes for a great "custom" smoke-like look. I also really dig the particles.

I still will probably edit the wave colors a little bit just because I love to customize things... Then also because I like to get my hands dirty with a little bit of work from time to time. It's the only way to learn!

Thanks again! :D

thanks. the wave's coloring component has gone through several changes, at least ones with the same color or close to it. if you use ctrl+H to replace all, it will only find around 7 places that need to be changed. earlier forms of the wave had 11+. I think with this one, I went through the color wheel since there are exactly enough spaces. I know I did with one of them anyway.

the wave is supposed to change at certain hours of the day, when you turn on the system, etc. that's largely what makes having it do what you want it to do difficult. make sure that you use the same number of characters for any variable or it will throw the hex off. the end of the hex should be several dots iirc. I'm not sure what would happen if you filled in those dots. they could be null'd. though, it's probably just to fill out the line. I believe ECDSA requires 16 bytes or multiples of it, so that may be why it's like that with most files. an example is: if you look at a pkg, the sha-1 will be the sha-1 and a sequence of 0's in order to fit 32 bytes perfectly or the last two lines (a multiple of 16)

My ps3 after reboot stay in blackscreen. Don't react, when i press the power button it sounds twice.

After intall the Wave Installer i got blackscreen, so i goin to restore my ps3 and i have error 8002f2b5

the only time I've seen a black screen instead of a soft brick is if something went wrong during transfer. if this were cfw, you could just ftp the original file via webman mod. that error appears to be vague on psdevwiki.

Take out a tool or software to copy all the data from the internal hard drive of the PS3 to the new hard drive and that this ps3 does not ask us to format the cloned hard drive, without using the copy transfer of the PS3
