Hi there, today I'm installing wires for firmware 'Revert'. There is a post on reddit showing SAD SYSCON alt pins but my board is slightly different. I'm sure i have the right pins for all but the D2 wire. First 2 pictures are what I'm working from, 3rd+4th pic are what i have. D2 I assume its the bit I've circled orange but i just want confirmation before i start soldering. Thanks!
Ok so the solder point is correct. I have dumped both syscon and nor, put syscon pin15 back, then installed recovery firmware, then redumped nor twice, built a legit core OS patch, but then run into a problem.
When i try to write anything to the nor chip weeTools refuses and gives error 'teensy receive buffer timeout! Disconnect and reconnect Teensy!'
First try it wrote the first sector, then froze, then just refused multiple times. I checked all soldering and i had ripped 1 pad on the nor pad, the WP#/SIO2 which is write protect for the chip. Interesting as this is the problem im having. I ran a wire from other side of board next to the actual nor chip and soldering looks fine. I did another attempted write and it managed 2-3 sectors then quit with buffer timeout error (i think, the error flashes in a split second and goes). I have checked soldering many times and just cannot write to the chip. I am considering just removing the nor and flashing with external device.
O
here is my wiring pictures. First one is original wiring, pic2+3 show my repair wire from nor to my original wires. I was following the youtube guide with the extra step in for legit patch and didnt realise i would have to half rebuild the console to do a system update. This is when i must have torn the write protect pad, inserting the psu to the console with wires everywhere. im sure its the right point on the nor and i get continuity from nor chip resistor to green wire so it is soldered ok afaik. everything else seems fine. my voltage the chips are receiving is 2.9v
