  • Know the temperature of the PS4's APU, and configure the min °C or °F at which the fan should start...

    All credits to: @LightningMods_ @notzecoxao @_AlAzif @Zer0xFF

  • via notzecoxoa@Twiter:

    @Lapy05575948's latest release: PS4 Temperature 1.0
    Features:
    Shows the temperature in both degrees celsius and fahreneit
    Lets you set the limit when fan starts to kick in (in celsius)
    Saves config in between sessions (you can close and open and it saves)

    Credits to @Zer0xFF for the original nid function of fan payload,
    @_AlAzif for the payload implementation,
    @LightningMods_ for the implementations and stubs

Thanks for reply. Some questions.

How can we check in game temperature? Can we put your homebrew in payload mode to see ingame temperature on screen during gameplay?

not a thing yet. the offset is for 7.02 is the same with 6.72 so technically it should work but for some oddball reason this app doesnt work at all on 7.02, just crash....

the only thing you can use for now is the fan threshold payload that thing works fine. its just that loading a payload on 7.02 is PIA thing to do. If there's only a homebrew app that can load payload files after HEN/Mira successful exploit. that would be a good alternative.

What does yours normally run at?

I've never used this app, but some hosts have a fan control payload. if you want to know what the temps are while gaming, try orbis toolbox. though, it's not that stable at the moment (in alpha stages). it shows cpu and soc temperatures only though. with no fan control, my cpu was running at 75C and soc 74C while in game. I've heard that it's normal for ps4s to run hot, definitely hotter than the ps5 according to sony (possibly ps3 as well).

Wow, so they really do run the about the same as the PS3s. I was always thought to believe the PS3s ran hot from factory, leading to early demise, but clearly not.

if you use orbis toolbox, the temps are on screen at all time while playing a game. it's under game overlay, and you can change its position (left, right, or center). use the orbis toolbox payload, then go into system settings to find the orbis toolbox options at the top. there's an option to create a shortcut to toolbox on the home screen, and you can save your settings, which will take effect next time you load up toolbox. be careful though as it's pretty unstable, so it's possible the system could crash. I think the fan controls usually work permanently unless you shut the system off, so I think they'll continue to work coming back from rest mode. 79 degrees C is the default setting, so yeah, ps4s run hot. I'm sure the temps get into the low 80s before the fans really kick in on a stock system or without the fan control. I don't use fan controls myself. I think you can normally save settings for the temp threshold you want as well.

What is the best temperature to set at 60° or 76°?
I can't find it anywhere. Please guide me someone who knows.
