PS VITA / PS TV PSM Dev Assistant Is Long Gone, PSM Unity Will Pave The Way Soon

In a recent Tweet by Smoke he announced that the PSM Development Assistant for Unity will have its own Rejuvenate port soon. He goes on further explaining his minor role in its development while also mentioning that USB tethering will not be needed. PSX-Place moderator atreyu187 also brought to my attention that the PSTV will also be supported so I went to my usual places to dig a little deeper. There's much more to it than just looser license requirements. There's PSTV support, exploit launching support for Linux/Mac, with the possibility for Android/iOS support. There's no USB required for launching the exploit (only Wi-Fi). The exploit launches a lot faster as well. There is a lot more RAM available through PSM Unity than the regular one.

Just to be clear (In case news starts coming out) the #Rejuvenate for Unity port was by @MrNetrix I simply made/modified the setup scripts
At first I was like "meh, wireless debugging? I know how to plug in a USB"
But now I'm like "I am so glad we don't have to use damn USB now"

 
As i said before this thing is useless (please don't feel disrespect here) FOR ME ,not exactly usless but i don't see way to run this in bus etc (or i missing something). Is BIG step in vita scene but for me until connection to pc is needed to run homebrew is more like POC than something that i need. Is hanheld thing, but this exploit is very interesing for from PSTV side. I'm glad that work is on progress to run this on PSTV.

I hope there is no misunderstand in my words, remember that English is not my native language, i don't want to disrespect anybody work .
 
Apparently you didn't read this is also going to be ported to Android and iOS so it can be launched on the go from ANYWHERE!! More RAM and just like most kernel exploits that lead to CFW and more they all start with a userland exploit which this is. Besides we still also have ePSP & ePS1 thanks to TN-V/ARK-2 & TN-X/PS1 Loader. Far from useless if you ask me. It uses an ARM CPU so things like a good N64 are much more possible over the PS3 with its SPU & Cell CPU which made porting more then that. They would need total rewrites.
 
I haven't modified my vita or tv yet. I might very soon though. let me compare this to the 3ds. the cubic ninja exploit is user-based. that was used to remove region-locking as well as launching the gateway menu for the 3ds. from there, u can attack the kernel with msets which allows an exploit without the need for cubic ninja. u could replace the system kernel with the gateway one, but I don't think they've gone that route in case of a brick. however, there may be a priiloader sort of app that loads before the kernel to prevent bricking. the 360 can do similar with xell/xellous unless things r extremely corrupted as it comprises the first 50 bytes of the nand. anyway, if there's a method to resurrect from a brick, it'll probably replace the nand. the vita is likely to go down the same route.
 
cant wait Unity dev + rejuvenate release for true "portable" exploit and future development....
