The proper output method is 3.55 STD, but data corrupted issue as you're getting i don't think that's eboot fault, however... might try with ps3 iso tool too, same procedure as before, replace the eboot in your iso game folder with resigned one to nodrm/3.55 STD/no compression then make iso with ps3 iso tool with these settings: ps3 system CFW/firmware 3.55/use makeps3.iso, patch game to firmware 3.55 must be disabled, try this way and see if works.

Since ps3 iso tool v2.2 needs to be updated with latest makeps3iso.exe version i'll give you my version that's updated yet so avoid time wasting: PS3 ISO TOOLS v2.2 (UPDATED)

Tried converting a game with Liberator but only getting 4.21 eboot choice, unable to choose 3.55.

Not tried the Managunz option of patching the ISO to 3.55 boot yet.

Read something on Reddit about someone unable to boot Read Dead GOTY with latest patch on HEN, I've been playing Motor Apocalypse on latest patch on HEN having no problems booting.
 
Just an update.. Tried all idea's and still getting black screen followed by freeze.

Lib pretty good for CFW. For HEN it don't work.
 
Final Update.. Got it working on HEN.

Had to use ESSSE resigner instead.

Here are the steps:

- Convert PKG to Disc Based Folder using Lib.

- Copy Eboot from U folder to ESSSE.
Resign then choose 2nd option 3.55, not 3.55 (ODE).

- Put resigned Eboot back in Disc Game U Folder.

- Create ISO using genps3ISO. ISO should then boot from External or Internal HDD.
 
Did you test makeps3iso too? because in theory should be better than genps3iso, some day ago for example with it i've converted transformers devastation european version (BLES02200) from game folder to iso and was working fine, converting the game from ps3 with multiman from game folder to iso wasn't working instead, so makeps3iso another time did his job :eagerness:
 
Right, created a few games with the makeps3iso you linked.

When creating the ISO you can tick an option to patch the game to 3.55, and choose "Always". After making the ISO they work on HEN. I checked the Eboot and makeps3iso is also patching the eBoot for you so no need to convert the eBoot before creating the into ISO.

Try converting a PKG to Disc format through Lib, then without patching the eBoot do the above method on makeps3iso 2.2 to create an ISO from the Disc format to confirm it works.
 
Instead of using an external program to resign the eboot/selfs, you could use this other version of resign_to_disc. It apparently is hardcoded to resign to 3.55 according to the notes. It is labeled a test version, but appears to have been created shortly after the version in the archive in the post above, so probably only the change to 3.55 would need testing.

Just rename the resign_to_disc.exe that is in" \PSN LIBERATOR V1.0\Tools" to resign_to_disc_original.exe, or whatever, and put this version in it's place. Then use PSN Liberator as usual and don't worry that the 4.21 is checked.

Can confirm the above resign_to_disc works on HEN without needing to do extra steps.

The MakePS3ISO and GenPS3ISO in PS Lib tools folder, can you delete GenPS3ISO so It guarantee's it uses MakePS3ISO instead?
 
You must sign the edat file into pkg package with his rap file with true ancestor edat rebuilder then repack the pkg with true ancestor pkg repacker, might you need to watch some video tutorial about it
