PS3 PSNPatch 4.70.02 - Auto Boot Plugins On Non Cobra CFW

Developer KW is back with another update to PSNPatch. In version 4.70.02 you now have the ability to auto boot plugins on non Cobra custom firmware, a great feature indeed. Touching base with the addition of PSN blocking introduced in version 4.66.40, the developer has tweaked the feature to allow for both Cobra [break][/break]and non Cobra custom firmwares. This includes IDPS auto-spoofing as well. Lets take a look.

4.70.02 3/MAR/2015

BIG news for non-cobra CFW!
  • Added auto-boot PLUGINS FOR NON-COBRA CFW !!!
  • New PSNPatch plugin updated to fully run in BOTH COBRA and NON-COBRA;
  • Included webMAN-Mod plugin for both cobra and non-cobra modes;
  • "Block PSN Access" now works for BOTH COBRA and NON-COBRA at boot time;
    • (providing the PSNPatch plugin is installed - wait for PSNPatch welcome message).
  • IDPS auto-spoofing now works for BOTH COBRA and NON-COBRA at boot time;
    • (providing the PSNPatch plugin is installed - wait for PSNPatch welcome message).
  • Confirmed compatibility with 4.70 CFW
    • (this is just a confirmation as no code changes were needed);

Notes for non-cobra plugins:
1) Non-cobra plugins should be configured in /dev_hdd0/prx_plugins.txt; (PSNPatch does this automatically when installing PSNPatch or webMAN plugins)
2) Non-cobra plugins can mount games only in jailbreak format
3) ISO support for non-cobra is coming
4) When in non-cobra CFW: go to new "TOOLBOX" menu in PSNPatch app to configure plugins
5) Non-cobra plugins were tested just in 4.70, but it should be compatible with several previous CFW versions
6) Many failsafe procedures were taken in consideration to install the non-cobra plugin handler

In the event of something going wrong (a broken plugin or an error installing the plugin handler), there are 2 EASY failsafe procedures:

a) Create a "failsafe" file and place it in a folder named "core_flags" in a usb stick in the right usb port of the ps3. This procedure can also be done to disable plugin loading from non-cobra CFW.

b) Re-install the CFW from the Recovery menu.

No I meant how do I create the failsafe file? Do you mean just create another folder inside "core_flags" and name it "failsafe"?

Yes is working, if i understand darknet description also 7.02 version work with psnpatch, only cobra spoofing (old mmCM style) is not working. For PSN access is no needed, so you can use PSNPatch for every darknet version.

But of course wait for testers-developers opinion. I never tested this.

EDIT: Sorry, PSNPatch stealth mode Not Supported (better cobra hiding) on 7.02. But 7.03 is fully compatibile. Still 7.02 can use psnpatxh, but without this extension.

Well i tested 4.70.02 on DARKNET COBRA 4.70 7.0.3 and yes is working the only issue i found is that PSNPATCH is not hiding HOME/PS3_GAME subfolder now, instead is deleting the PlaySationStore icon on XMB "GAME" main menu.

psnpatch 4.70.X works great with any 4.70 cfw. no more updates are needed.

Stealth extensions were an old aproach to delete syscalls on cobra.
If you look into the message, psnpatch plugin will say "enhanced cobra mode" - if stealth exensions are there, they will be used, if not, they will be dynamically injected at run time.

I'm sorry but I do not understand the difference between "stealth mode" and "enhanced cobra mode". How i know i'm running the maximum protection possible in 4.70 COBRA??

if you use last psnpatch version (currently 4.70.02) you have the best available protection process.

Ok, but i think i have the same issue even reinstalling the 4.70 Firmware: PSNPatch is not hiding "/app_home/PS3_GAME" instead is deleting the "PlayStation Store Icon" in XMB "Game" submenu

That is the expected behavior with psnpatch 4.70.

Do we need to leave webmanmod pad shortcuts enabled?
I normally have them disabled since I accidentally triggered some in the past, but I just noticed the shortcut for this is the same to unload webman.
I haven't been banned yet, but don't want to add more risk then necessary.
I've re-enabled them for now to be safe but any info would be helpful.
Thanks

Cant believe I've spent so much time online with webman still running. :eek:

I remember install XMB add-ons , "/app_home/PS3_GAME" will remove , now it wont remove after install XMB add-ons .... ( on darknet cobra 4.7)

As I've said, this IS the expected behavior in PSNPATCH 4.70 !

Strangely nobody else (myself included) have not reported anything with pes 2015.
I must thank your for being a so illuminated mind that can immediately start to assume everything about imposing bugs without even knowing what's talking about.
So, I don't know if you can "result that it is a psn patch bug" :)
psnpatch just disables the cfw: the game may or not like this - it is not a PSNPATCH bug nor a game bug.

You may try to use a tool call "google" that can help you search things in the web, where you can immediately get results about that particular error...
