PSNpatch and "NO RAP REQUIRED" packages

Good day everyone.
This may be a stupid question but I just wanted to be extra cautious before I mess things up.
I have a couple of packages that came without a rap file and the site I got them from explicitly says NO RAP REQUIRED so I wanted to ask if I just use PSNpatch like always or if there is something additional that I need to do.

Can you be more specific?
What packages are we talking about?

3 DLCs for LA Noire, specifically:
The Homicide Case
The Arson Case
AND The Vice Case
The other ones didn't have this message and came with a rap file.
