PS3 PSNpatch - Releases / Usage Information (Official Support Thread)

Yes. And it is safer like it is implemented.
The system boots, idps and psid are disabled and psn is locked.
You do what you have to do.
You then press the combo buttons when you are ready to connect to the psn ( to disable cfw and unlock psn access).

One of my friends has been using his psn+ account on all his systems, vita/ps3+cfw/ps4 ever since ps3 launched, and yet never been banned. His current setup is habib 4.75/mamba loader/psnpatch/webMan

I am on CFW rebug 4.70.1. Can I directly use PSNpatch? If not do I have to spoof maybe with SEN Enabler v5.8.3 to Version 4.75 o is it necessary to use a cfw 4.75? If yes which one?

Best option is to use latest fw, but you can use external spoof like Sen enabler and then use PSNPatch also, but remember to not use both plugins from SE and PP there are some conflicts.

Do you mean Habib starbucks 475 v1.00? I thought that CFW 4.75 Habib starbucks 475 v1.00 has no cobra-option.

If I stay on rebug 4.70.01 and I spoof, do I have to change in the rebug menu the option from normal to rebug?

And last question to enter PSN is it better to use Habib starbucks 475 v1.00 with psnpatch or rebug 4.70.01 spoof with psnpatch? Or is there no difference?

BETA v0.3 - 4.75 HABIB (COBRA v7.10) - PSX Place CFW by habib cobra added by joonie.

You need to check compatibility in readme file in spoofer you use. Most spoofers work only in normal mode. But you need to check this yourself.

Nobody knows, i always prefer latest fw for PSN, but many people here are using spoofers long time without ban.

Come on guys.
Stay on topic.
The question was already answered.

Let's NOT transform this thread in a "what is the best 4.75 cfw" ...

Hi kokotonix

I have a question, when I install ccapi psnpatch plug-in doesn't work even the message from psnpatch doesn't appear... Isn't possible use both apps???

Sometime ago the plugin was adjusted to be compatible with both cobra, non-cobra and ccapi environments.
It was tested and confirmed working.
I don't use ccapi, so I can not help much more.

Are you followed that steps?

Create a directory in your /dev_usb000/ called plugins
and put all your sprx plugins into, it should be
/dev_usb000/plugins/prx_name1.sprx
/dev_usb000/plugins/prx_name2.sprx
....
All of the sprx that are present in this folder, will be loaded at ps3 boot.

When I do that the xmb don't appear, ps3 stuck in the waves...

If I don't do that webMAN be loaded but psnpatch plug-in isn't loaded.

I'm using cfw 4.75 and mamba...

I'm really not familiar with ccapi, i never used it. But here is some overall thing i know.

- Webman work on ccapi only in ccapi version. Cobra and noncobra versions not work.
- Mamba and ccapi compatibility is not tested (i think)
- When you are using ccapi is best to disable mamba to exclude "double plugin loading" and other compatibility issues.
- PSN patch and ccapi can work together is tested on many forums.
- I don't have more ideas :p

Greetings kokotonix,

I apologize beforehand if my questions have already been answered as I normally will sift through many pages before I ask questions. I've been helping the scene for 4 or 5 years now as moderator, admin etc for many different places helping many people so I assure you I do not take take. The reason for this "disclaimer" is that I wanted to be clear I don't generally ask questions without doing a lot of searching/research etc but today I'm afraid that's what I'm going to do.

1) HIDING COBRA
Do the stealth 3 extensions automatically turn on when i run PSN patch 4.70.07 on Rebug Cobra CFW (4.70) or do these need to be separately installed?

2) CFW SPOOFING
how to spoof safely to 4.75 (or latest FW)?

I read rebug toolbox has to be in rebug mode for best compatibility with psn patch but when i use my third party spoofer it needs to be in NORMAL mode and if i don't spoof my firmware isnt high enough to get on PSN.

Am I safe to be in NORMAL mode in toolbox?

or should i somehow spoof to 4.75 (or whatever current version FW maybe at the time) SAFELY with Psn patch via cfg file or something else?

3) WEBMAN
Can i use webman to play games and does it follow the same rules as using a backup manager for loading games
(like mount the game offline before disabling CFW syscalls)?

Webman has the option of mounting the last game played at boot is this okay to use with psn patch?

Is there any particular options i should set or settings I cannot use with PSN patch?

EDIT: kozarovv

ccapi 2.60 VERSION 4 works with Cobra (and rebug) idk if you were aware of version 4 this isn't prolly what you mean though.

1. Stealth needs to be manually enabled on every boot and you'll need to have a PSN safety app like PSNpatch or SEN Enabler installed to do that.

2. Rebug CFWs are a pain in the ass for spoofing and as PSNpatch and SEN Enabler are always updated, follow the instructions from those apps.

3. You CAN use webMAN while online BUT I would strongly advise against using it or having it installed altogether as Sony can check your HDD and/or flash memory to see if the system has been modified in any way - why did you think there was a mass ban shortly after Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 was released?

Best advice: install standard CFW, a spoofed backup manager (so that it gets logged as a legit game when you use it) and a PSN/SEN safety app like SEN Enabler for having a lower chance of a PSN ban, and remember to mount your game BEFORE going onto PSN and switching off the Internet before turning off your system and having auto login disabled at all times. Using firmware version spoofs WILL increase your chances of a PSN ban so firmware version spoofing is not a smart thing to do as a result.

1) stealth 3 cobra extensions will be automatically used by psnpatch when possible.
If not, psnpatch will choose the best "cfw disabling" method for the current running system .
Additionally, I recommend you use the psnpatch plugin which allows cfw disabling from the XMB and locks PSN access at boot time - while CFW is not disabled.

2) rebug mode is advisable to be used with psnpatch. Some functions , like controlling and updating webman from psnpatch, will properly work in that mode only.
But the major functions should work ok in normal mode - I'm sorry, but you'll have to test them.
Currently psnpatch does not offer cfw version spoofing
In fact, I do not recommend the use of versions spoofers when there are true 4.75 cfw available at the moment.

3) there are no special limitation for webman usage with psnpatch, apart of not using webman "disable syscalls" function when using psnpatch.
Psnpatch disables all cfw syscalls - webman disables just some and only partially and not properly recovering the syscalls table.

I recommend you use the webman light version included with psnpatch (install it from the toolbox menu in psnpatch).

Note:
Hopefully all these issues should be described in the FAQS and DOCS included in the official PSNPATCH distribution available at psx-place.
;)

gDrive

so spoofed backup manager is ok but not fw spoofer? The backup manager spoofer will still work even after homebrew is disabled by psn patch (I take it the CFW syscalls doesnt mess with the backup manager spoofer?)
What do you mean by "standard" cfw, like without cobra & non-rebug?

1) I didn't realize sen enabler and psn patch served the same function(s) as I've done zero research on sen enabler but have heard of it.

kokotonix & gDrive

2) okay, I just like using Rebug as that's what I'm used to and this makes sense being spoofers don't exist on OFW. So what 4.75 Cobra CFW would you guys recommend then? Or should I get it without Cobra (even though I love cobra and prefer it) is Cobra just as safe with the stealth 3 extensions than without having Cobra?

3) So webman is generally a bad idea right, unless I use the light version included?

kokotonix

I read about the psn patch plugin and how it prevents one from logging on to psn with out the cfw syscalls being disabled. But the way i got banned is that my internet was simply enabled on my ps3 and I wasn't signed into PSN at all. I think Sony still had access if your internet is enabled even without being signed in because of the ads they send to the XMB and text scrolling at top right. So iwould think that havingthe patch instead disable internet entirely (rather than just PSN) would be a better idea but i'm just throwing things out there.

Thanks mates

Well there's a lot of different issues and a little bit of confusion.
I suggest you create a separate thread for all those subjects.

Just to wrap up about your last paragraph, let me add that you were not certainly banned just for being connected to the Internet - most probably you had auto psn connection at boot time, or you were previously banned and only seen it at the next connection attempt.

The XMB ads are simply http web downloads. No real danger ;)
