PS3 PSNpatch - Releases / Usage Information (Official Support Thread)

I have a 2104A PAL & I have Red Dead Redemption as well so I will test this hopefully tonight & we will find out whether the culprit is kapa's console or the model itself, if we don't already know by then of course.

Should have some time as am done testing the system calls reboot hanging issue.
kapa
Btw can you do me a favour?
Could you try to reboot your 2104A with webMAN-MOD combo L3+R2+O?
Does it hang or not?
(sorry guyz I know it's not the right thread!!)

kokotonix, about webman, i've already had the configuration done, with 10s delay do identify the usb disks... two disks with the same size, same brand, etc :)
if i do restore system defaults it will delete all my personal data (save games included)?

Anything that's related to usb malfunction may need to check its sleep setting done in usb storage itself, I am aware of this issue that also affected ODE users, this is just my thought without any confirmation

(We should try to be a little bit more "moderate" before pointing out a so called "bug" ;) )

No personal data will be deleted.
Read the disclaimer that Sony displays on screen before you confirm the action)

I understand that kokotonix, but i had the webman 1.43.2 rebug version with the same configuration and zero problems... ;) can you help me get back the rebug version?

kokotonix, did what you told me and.... same thing... if i have the plugin enabled on both modes, the error appears, some time reseting, other time after been shutdown, etc.. i've tried with dynamic theme on / off, it happens also when changing cobra to "normal" on toolbox restart...

bguerville, yes, is working, but my ps3 is a 2000 series, not a 2100 series :)

Joonie, but this happens with the last release and not with yours, is that normal? Another question, how can i put back your webman insteed the 1.43.04 that i've now?

I also have a 2100.
That's even more strange because I have 0 issues !
Sorry I cannot believe be more helpful.

Once I was with a slim that was inpossible to update CFW due to a malfunction in a reserved area where the FIRMWARE is temporarily placed for install.
Swapping the disk solved the issue.

Flash info in slims is also stored on a specific hdd area.

Cannot confirm this is your solution but if you have a spare disk it is worth a try.

About getting back rebug webman, there are several approaches being the easiest to reinstall CFW (2 mins and it's done).

KW will try to implement an alternative approach when psnpatch runs in rebug in order to be able to restore webman-rebug (cannot promise when or if it will be ever done).

Oh dear.
My mistake. I thought we had the same console l....
It means I cannot validate your tests in terms of console model.

If you need the original rebug sprx file I always keep a copy of all the plugins releases so I have it.
I can post it here if you want. (if it's ok STLcardsWS?) You need only ask.

Otherwise you can extract the file from the Rebug CFW PUP file using a variety of tools like PUADGUI.... If you needed info on how to do that, again, just ask.
koko
I can still do the tests on 210x & 250x if it helps, what do you think?
Should I go ahead with it?

Could someone with a 200x & 1h to spare test kapa's USB HDD issue?

kokotonix, i understand... lol this is weird issue, and i have two ps3 has i told you, and is weird that only happens on my slim version, but is not a big problem to me, i use 99% of the time cobra functions, so no big need to use "normal" version.. and if i do need, i activate and desactiva before pass to cobra again :)

bguerville, if you can send me the webman rebug edition ;) i know that i can have again reeinstaling cfw, but i'de like to replace and not reeinstall :) about the ps3, let it go... this will be something that will never get explained.. lol

Many thanks to both of you for your help and also Joonie, for your help too

Really like PSNPatch but unfortuanally with latest webMAN version there's a small problem in conjunction with PSNPatch-Plugin "Block PSN Access" :

So far webMAN also allows 2 disable syscalls via button combo as well as PSNPatch does. Until now i've used the PSNPatch combo to disable syscalls and gain access to PSN.
But in latest version of webMAN you can add an [auto]- and an [online]-tag to your ISO-filename or folder and that disables CFW while mounting a game and starts it immediately. And here's where's the problem:
PSNPatch plugin doesn't detect that syscalls are already disabled by webMAN and doesn't unblock PSN instantly... don't get me wrong... pressing L3+R3+R2 still works, but that causes especially the [online]-tag-feature of new webMAN to be useless.

Hope you and aldostools / Matsumot0 could find a solution for this nasty situation !?

Regards
Rudi

Psnpatch completely disables CFW's syscalls by recovering original syscalls table.
Webman approach it's different.

About the rest of your message I confess I didn't understood the objective.
Care to rephrase ?

We are talking about webMAN_mod 1.43.11 released yesterday
and my PS3 is on REBUG 4.76.1 lite... but i guess this doesn't matter.

Problem might be best descriped by an example:
1. In my PS3ISO-folder i renamed "MYGAME.iso" to "MYGAME[auto][online].iso"
2. Now when i mount "MYGAME[auto][online].iso" webMAN disables syscalls and starts the game immediately... i don't need to press any combos... just mount the game and it starts with disabled syscalls
3. Now i try to login to PSN but PSNPatch plugin does not allow to do so (error 80710007)

U should try yourself and then hopefully you (together with aldostools and Matsumot0) could find a way how to solve this problem.

Ok, webman removes the syscalls, but psnpatch still running, you just need to do the combo to disable syscall and psnpatch and you can go online...

Yes. That's it:
[emoji3]

When the psn login appears, just press the combo and login.

Lol... pretty hard to achieve that people understand what i'm talking about.

4 sure i know that i can use PSNPatch combo... i'm not stupid ! (Ok ok... a little bit crazy may be);)
If i need to use PSNPatch combo anyways then webMAN_mods [online]-tag is useless because PSNPatchs combo does the same job as the tag.
You should realy try youself that situation.
