I need help with this homebrew. I have just installed evilnats 4.87 cfw and I also installed the psnpatch plugin but my ps3 still goes online without me needing to press the button combos... at first, it wouldn't let me go online at all... I got an error when trying to sign in. Then I realised my IDPS and PSID had changed for some reason to all zeros... so I changed them back to default values. I'm now able to go online but isn't the plugin suppose to block psn access? am I missing something?

go into the program, press I think select to go into psn toolbox, then follow instructions to install plugin.

If I recall correctly, PSNpatch disables syscalls that could detect the exploit you used on your PS3.

Here is the description of brewology:

"The major objective is to spoof the console Id and disable cfw syscalls extensions in order to make your system more "safe" to go into the PSN. (Note that MORE safe doesn't mean IT IS safe !). It also deletes the boot history execution."

By the way, I'm just replying because I recently had the same realization as you for why PSN gave such errors when signing in.

First of all, this is an English forum so next time, please post in English or add a translation.
Secondly, PSNpatch is a simple & comprehensive tool that has served the community well for years.
It has not been updated for a while because there hasn't been a need for an update, it is firmware independent & it already does everything it needs to do.
Thirdly there is no issue with the software itself, it works fine therefore if you experienced problems, it would have to be because you didn't follow proper instructions & messed things up.
Finally, the only alternative to PSNPatch is SEN Enabler which is also a great homebrew but from experience, is a lot trickier for noobs to handle.

yeah, psn patch is great. I still use it on 4.84 rex. I've never had a problem. the only thing that I know of that it can't do is I think it can't use a fake act.dat, because when I tried using a reactpsn one on my old ps3, it couldn't detect it. I don't use reactpsn on my new ps3, because the ps3 and account are not banned (got banned on the old system though), so I just use psn patch and never had a problem. I think it's L1 to inject raps and edats, then select for the toolbox (has the psn patch plugin to force you to disable syscalls and erase history before you can sign in to psn or else psn will give an error code when trying to sign in). that's in case you forget to do it.

FYI: PSNpatch does not have firmware spoofing capabilities.

Also the app s firmware independent. (meaning it works the same as it did in previous updates without the need of an update to the app, so you need to change nothing for it to work as it did before.)

I got excited thinking maybe I was gonna get to play online before it all goes away. The reason you are getting this from a reply in PSN Patch post is because I deleted all the old spoofers and such from that console in an attempt to rid it of any hidden identifiers. Now I need something to spoof with again. I came a gnat's hair from getting online, so I know I am close except for this. Can you please tell me what I need, make a recommendation, I trust you. I am getting a lot of conflicting information from other resources, so I decided to ask you.

You can use the psnpatch sprx plugin to spoof idps & psid.
It can be installed manually or though the psnpatch app.
You just add the spoofing data in the psnpatch config file, the spoofing can be applied automatically on boot or using the appropriate pad combo, up to you to choose the mode you prefer.

All the details you need are already available in this thread OP & in the psnpatch documentation.

If you use the psnpatch app cobra menu to install the plugin, choose to install the plugin alone, no extra webman option..

no. sen enabler would need update and psnpatch is useless if you use evilnat/hen and webman mod.

When i press L1 to install rap files the console freezes, it just shows "installing raps & edats please wait". Can anyone help?

Their a problem is that PSNpatch 2017.02/B is that it does not install anything install .rap and .edat. The problem gets stuck does not work with the latest evilnat and gets stuck saying "please wait" nothing happens. PLEASE FIX.

PSN Patch is obsolete and doesn't work properly with newer FWs. Also, Cobra payload already containts all its features and do them properly.

Why the need to fix it?.
