PS3 PSNpatch v2015.9/A - New Spoofer Warning by KW

In PS3 homebrew news, developer KW has released the latest version of PSNpatch here in the PSX-Place forums. In this update (v2015.9/A) the developer has a new version spoofer warning for CFW user's as he lends some advice about CFW versions Spoofers. Then also, in the PSNpatch Toolbox an added function to auto-spoof IDPS & IDPS(*)​ now resides within the PSNpatch Application. Plus in v2015.9/A, additional changes [break]ss[/break] from KW can be seen below in the official release quote provided by kokotonix:

PSNpatch release 2015.9/A

• NEW Version spoofer warning: PSNPatch displays the real and the spoofed cfw version in the main menu - a good version spoofer (when one is available) MUST BE invisible to PSNPatch;
• Added PSNPatch toolbox setup of plugin on-boot auto features (auto-spoof IDPS & IDPS) (*);
• Improved rebug (lite) detection for proper handling of webman xmb menu icons;
• Updated included webman-mod (cobra and non-cobra) to version 1.43.04 (lite version) - webman-mod cobra version should be compatible with every cobra versions (past and future);
• Confirmed support for 4.76 CFW with all the CORE functions - just a confirmation: no changes were made in the source code - PSNPatch continues to be firmware version independent

(*) This could already be done directly in PSNPatch plugin by keeping pressed L3+R3+R2 during boot until the "auto mode" message is displayed, but doing it from the PSNPatch toolbox seems to be easier for some users.

• A quick Remember for those who preferred not to read past versions release notes:
• PSNPatch plugin locks psn access until CFW is disabled.
• For best protection the plugin should always be installed.
• The plugin can be installed in cobra and non-cobra systems(for non-cobra use the also included plugin handler).

True If homebrew can get your true fw version then $ony can do the same. Anyway they don't doing this for now, but they can.

Of course that we know that homebrew can access to "things" that offficial apps and sony itself don't do.
But in the case of the firmware version (and I will detail this in a specific thread) psnpatch uses only standard calls which are easily used by any game.
This could also serve as a test for verison spoofer developpers to test its own spoofers.

Maybe in a near future we have a true version spoofer. Who knows ?

 

Yea as the spoofer I was using for 4.65.1 in "normal" mode was crap. I could still log into PSN with PSN Patch plugin running. Using the "Rebug" mode spoofer access remained locked.

Probably the spoofer only spoofed normal vsh...
