PSP PSP problems

My PSP is charging too fast and the battery also drains too fast even with the PSP turned off. It often doesn't charge at all, charges for a very short period of time or after successfully charging, it has no battery the next day after turning it on. This is my fifth PSP overall (my third 3000 one) and I already changed power supplies.

EDIT: I'll order a 1800mAh Cameron Sino battery from AliExpress.

EDIT 2: The 1800mAh Cameron Sino battery I ordered from AliExpress came with an USB cable for some reason, it's somewhat unconfortable to hold the console because of the battery cover that came with the battery to fit it in a PSP 2000/3000/Go/Street, and above all, when charging the console, its "POWER" indicator always turns off some minutes after, so the PSP stops being charged and that means I lost money for nothing. I'll order a 1800mAH Cameron Sino battery from Amazon.

EDIT 3: The 1800mAh Cameron Sino battery I ordered from Amazon arrived, it didn't come with an USB cable like the previous and it has the same issue as the other one. I'll order a 2200mAh Ostent battery from AliExpress' Ostent store. It doesn't come with the battery cover but I'll use Cameron Sino battery's.

EDIT 4: The 2200mAh Ostent battery I ordered from AliExpress' Ostent store arrived and it only worked for some time. It had 68% right after using it for the first time (which might be odd because I think it should be fully discharged), and after fully discharging it and charging it, I turned off the PSP for a week after using it for some time. I now tried turning the console on and it has no battery left and it's not charging. I'll order Ostent's 2400mAh external battery charger power storage pack.

EDIT 5: Ostent's 2400mAh external battery charger power storage pack I ordered from Amazon arrived, it also came charged like the previous 2200mAh Ostent battery and it took quite some time to discharge, not to mention the PSP's "POWER" indicator doesn't blink when low in battery (so, the console turns off all of a sudden when it's fully discharged) and the battery icon doesn't appear in the XMB when using Ostent's 2400mAh external battery charger power storage pack, it's uncomfortable to hold the PSP with it attached because it's loose since it doesn't fit the back of the PSP properly (which is odd since it does in the pictures I saw), and if I'm not careful, it can mess up the UMD drive when taking it so I'll leave it hanging in order to not mess up the UMD drive when taking it. Even if it's not supposed to use it this way, at least it's safer and it feels more comfortable holding the PSP this way, too. Ostent's 2400mAh external battery charger power storage pack's indicator is red when being charged and turns blue after fully charged.

I don't know if the PSP should be charged with Ostent's 2400mAh external battery charger power storage pack connected to the console (regardless if batteries are inserted on the PSP or not) but I fully charged it without doing it and I also don't know how long it took. A week after charging it, the PSP still turns on with Ostent's 2400mAh external battery charger power storage pack connected to it (I've been checking every day to see if it still does) so I guess it's not faulty like the 4 batteries I used which wouldn't even charge or just for a very short period of time. Assuming Ostent's 2400mAh external battery charger power storage pack is fine, does it mean the PSP has a problem that affects all batteries or are they faulty? I find it odd all 4 batteries are messed up (3 of them are/were new). It seems Ostent's 2400mAh external battery charger power storage pack can only be used about 500 times.

EDIT 6: I've been told it's quite dangerous for the PSP to turn off without notice because if it goes out while I'm manually saving (or during an autosave) within a game, I ran the risk of corrupting the game save or, at worst, the entire Memory Stick/microSD card (which it seems has already happened to some users). Because of this, I was recommend to disable in-game autosave when possible since games usually autosave frequently and so it carries a lot of risk. I think my PSP has a problem since it had issues with 4 batteries (3 of them are/were new).

EDIT 7: Maybe it wasn't a PSP problem when I had the battery which came (the first battery of 4) with my used console and that worked until 2023 and even when I got the first (Cameron Sino's from AliExpress) that I ordered (the second of 4, overall) which had problems since it arrived in 2022. The following 2 batteries (Cameron Sino's from Amazon and Ostent's from AliExpress) also had problems from the start so could the first battery I ordered (Cameron Sino's from AliExpress, which was the second of 4, overall) might just have been faulty and the problem which affects all batteries might just have arisen in 2023 (affecting the original battery and the two [Cameron Sino's from Amazon and Ostent's from AliExpress] I got after the first one I ordered)? If so, I might have confused a PSP problem with faulty batteries because I ordered 2 when I already had the former.

EDIT 8: I ordered a 1400mAh Ostent battery from Amazon and it doesn't work too. I guess the PSP really has a problem.

EDIT 9: So, I was right and the batteries problems had to do with the PSP since I bought another used one and the 1400mAh Ostent battery fully charges when inserted in it. Also, this PSP comes with a 1500mAh Hisewen battery and it also fully charges. I'll keep both batteries and Ostent's 2400mAh external battery charger power storage pack. The problem with this console is that the screen is a little scratched, the UMD drive spins by itself and apparently the D-pad also has issues (like all my previous PSPs).

EDIT 10: I bought Ostent's Battery Desktop Wall Charger Stand and it can charge PSP batteries (like Ostent's 1400mAh and Hisewen's 1500mAh) when inserted in it and without using the console's power supply (and the PSP, of course) since it directly connects to the wall socket (hence its name), not to mention it looks way cleaner than if using the latter, even if I have to use a travel adapter to fit it in my wall socket (I bought Ewent Universal travel adapter from World to Europe from Amazon) since it has an US power plug and I'm in Portugal. The problem is that it takes a long time to charge PSP batteries. Also, its "CHARGE" indicator turns red when charging PSP batteries and green after fully charging them.

EDIT 11: I ordered another used PSP from Wallapop but it turns out it's the wrong model (PSP 2000) unlike stated by the vendor (3000) and it didn't turn on, unless I kept forcing the 3600mAh battery it came with (as well as Ostent's 1400mAh and Hisewen's 1500mAh batteries I already got) to fit on the console's battery connectors so I got rid of that PSP as well (like I did with the others, except the previous one) and kept its 3600mAh battery and the previous console.

EDIT 12: Now, the 1400mAh Ostent battery I ordered 2 months ago stopped working. I'm tired of having bad luck.

EDIT 13: This thread was updated and now it says Ostent batteries are the best instead of Cameron Sino's since it mentions a YouTube link of an user testing PSP batteries and reaching that conclusion. I'll order a 1400mAh Ostent battery from AliExpress' Ostent store.

EDIT 14: The 1400mAh Ostent battery I ordered from AliExpress' Ostent store arrived. I think I won't charge it with Ostent's Battery Desktop Wall Charger Stand but with the PSP's power supply and that way it will charge it a lot faster, at least. I hope it lasts longer than the previous 1400mAh Ostent battery.

EDIT 15: Now, the PSP doesn't turn on no matter what I do. I'm tired of buying these consoles. I bought this PSP last November. My bad luck doesn't end. I ordered an used one from eBay which won't come with a battery.

EDIT 16: So, I got the new PSP (my fifth 3000 one and my eighth PSP, overall) and it's working fine, though the screen is a little scratched and dirty, apparently the D-pad also has issues, the battery cover isn't fitting well because when holding the PSP and touching it, it falls (I don't know if it was me who caused this by possibly breaking something or if the console already came this way), it's hard to turn it off since right after sliding the "POWER"/"HOLD" switch up it often makes the PSP enter sleep mode. The PSP came with a Memory Stick PRO Duo compatible microSD adapter (my current one is breaking so I'll replace it by this), a 64 GB microSD card (mine is 128 GB) and with the PSP-384 power supply which is less bulkier than the PSP-104 I had so I'll use it to charge the 1400mAh Ostent battery, not to mention it charges batteries way faster than Ostent's Battery Desktop Wall Charger Stand. I just hope this PSP lasts longer than the others, at least. I got rid of the previous PSP (the sixth one, whose screen was a little scratched, whose UMD drive spun by itself and apparently whose D-pad also had issues).

EDIT 17: It's hard to take the 1400mAh Ostent battery and I noticed it's swollen (I don't know if it came this way) so I guess I should buy a new one (I can only take it if using an object like the PSP battery cover). Also, now I have to set date and time after charging the PSP when I no longer take the battery.

EDIT 18: Lately, I haven't had to set date and time after charging the PSP. Odd.

EDIT 19: I ordered a PSP (3000) battery cover from AliExpress but it doesn't fit. It seems my bad luck doesn't end.

EDIT 20: Now, the PSP is getting fully discharged fast again (not to mention its battery is swollen, like I said). I'm tired of this.

EDIT 21: I ordered a new 1400mAh Ostent battery from Amazon, it's not swollen (it's not hard to take it unlike the other swollen 1400mAh Ostent battery) and I'll only use it.

EDIT 22: I sometimes have to set date and time after charging the PSP again and the console gets fully discharged fast but not as fast as before (it also discharges if turned off for some days even after having fully charged it). I got rid of the swollen 1400mAh Ostent battery.

EDIT 23: I turned the PSP on to find out it returned to OFW somehow. I used Chronoswitch Downgrader to install OFW 6.61 but after running "ARK-4 Loader" and "ARK-4 cIPL Flasher", the PSP returns to OFW (which it doesn't if only running "ARK-4 Loader") and if running the "Custom Launcher" (after running "ARK-4 Loader"), it just freezes with the background image still moving. Nothing happens if pressing the "SELECT" button on the XMB when the VSH MENU should appear. I also have these issues if using the other microSD card (the 64 GB one) and the other Memory Stick PRO Duo compatible microSD adapter. Oh, God! The XMB only appears when gaming if I manually press the "PS" button and the keysTester app didn't find an issue with it (though it crashes and turns off the console), so I guess this means it's not stuck. I ordered another PSP from Vinted.

EDIT 24: It seems the previous issue is caused by a stuck "PS" button after all. I ran the PSP Keys Test app and it detected the problem unlike keysTester.

EDIT 25: So, the new PSP (my sixth 3000 one and my nineth PSP, overall) arrived, the "PS" button isn't stuck and the battery cover is a bit loose but doesn't fall, though it's still hard to turn the console off since right after sliding the "POWER"/"HOLD" switch up it still often makes the PSP enter sleep mode. It came with the european Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters UMD and with the PSP-384 power supply.

EDIT 26: This doc says there's a new 1800mAh Ostent battery that's better than the 1400mAh Ostent one.

EDIT 27: I got a 1800mAh Ostent battery from AliExpress' Ostent store. It came with a USB A to Mini-B USB cable.

EDIT 28: Now, the D-pad has issues and the analog stick sometimes has right drift. The nightmare doesn't end.

EDIT 27: After following this video's instructions, I'm not having analog stick drift.

EDIT 28: Now, I'm sometimes having analog stick drift again.

EDIT 29: I followed this video's instructions again and now the analog stick isn't working at all when running apps (like Keys atest) and games but it does in the Internet Browser. Odd. Also, now, it's not hard to turn the PSP off since after sliding the "POWER"/"HOLD" switch up it often turns off the console.
