Burnout Paradise fans, after over 11.5 years of service, the servers for the original 2008 game will be closing on August 1st 2019. That affects Xbox 360, PS3 and PC versions. Offline play will still be available of course, and Burnout Paradise Remastered servers are unaffected.

Thanks!,I didn't know that,I bought a copy a few years ago -_-
Maybe i will play a bit as a goodbye :(

Just got two captures of Burnout Paradise.

One for Connecting/Joining a Game
Another for Connecting/Hosting a game. Doing some stuff
Hopefully that should be enough to revive it after shutdown

Hey guys!

Have someone captured some data about Uncharted 2's multiplayer?

I have some packages (from another person, not me), but I plan that I'll collect some datas as well. But sadly I don't have so much knowledge about this. :/

Hey again!

I began to collect some data about Uncharted 2's multiplayer. I've got 2 captures now.

A big thanks to VTSTech to the instructions, it's a very good description.

I have 2 questions:

1. Did someone capture the network packages of Uncharted 2? Or are you planning to capture it?

2. Can I connect to Discord server? The invitation in the first page doesn't work anymore. :(

Thanks! :)

Thank you, that works! :)

And are you planning to capture it before the shutdown?

I'll collect as many datas as I can, but sadly I don't have so much knowledge about this. :/ I don't even know how to find the notable host data from this packages.

(Or if you'd like to, I can upload my captured packages and you can download them. :) )

I still need to figure out how to remove Console info from captures like IDPS, PSID and other details.

It is possible to use filters and only show/export traffic to a certain host. I will likely end up doing that as opposed to releasing the whole capture.

If you need my captured files or anything else, write me and if I can, then I'll help. :)

As I wrote, sadly I don't know so much about this, but I want to learn it in the next years. Until then all I can offer is to help any possible way.

It'd be so great if I know that I'll have a chance to revive the multiplayer after the server shutdown. :)

Hello, I would lime to join the capture project. I have some experience logging packets for a now shutdown mmorpg. I got quite a few online mutiplayer enabled games OFW and CFW

Hello there!

So great that you can help us capturing some data about the games, whose servers are about to be shutdowned in the near future. :)
As I know, Uncharted 2, Uncharted 3 and the PS3 version of The Last of Us' multiplayer is the next of the "decomission" list.
I've collected some data about Uncharted 2 multiplayer, but I'm not sure that they're good. When I try to capture, my connection became very-very slow and unstable. :(
Can you help me capture packets from these games? :) (I prefer UC2, because you can play UC3 via LAN and The Last of Us is playable on PS4 as well.)

I already wrote in the packet capture thread about other ways to capture traffic then arp spoofing (which likely causes the lag). The cheapest method would be to plug a second network interface card into your computer and bridge the connection and use wireshark on the second nic to capture packets.

Or buy a hub with uplink. (they may be hard to find nowadays depending on your country.) put your network card into promiscuous mode and start capturing.

port mirroring
On wiki.wireshark.org/CaptureSetup/Ethernet
they suggest the netgear GS105E switch which goes very cheap in used condition on ebay for example.Basically you tell the switch to mirror the network traffic from one port (your playstation 3 for example) to another port on the switch. Now you can capture all the traffic from this port. You could also use a linux machine to do the same (more advanced knowledge required) or use a router running dd-wrt for example (basic linux shell knowledge required)

One could also capture the wireless network signal of the ps3. But capturing the network data from a wired network is much simpler

Yeah, I read about those opportunities, but the problem is that I don't have the right tools to do it and sadly I won't get it until the shutdown. Even if I'll make an order, I won't get these tools in 1 week. (Because there is only 1 week left, damn it. :( :( )

So the only way for me is to capture those datas via Wi-Fi. :/

If you want to capture the wireless signal, make sure that you can put your wireless network interface into Monitor mode.if your Windows driver does not allow it and you have some linux knowledge you could use Kali Linux (formerly called backtrack) it comes with all required tools to sniff wireless networks.

If you cannot get it to work just capture as much as you can with the arp spoofing method while the servers are still up :) and do not forget to enjoy the game while it is still up.

Yes, I'll enjoy it, this is all I can do now. :(

But about the monitor mode: if I use this program, will the connection be better and more stable? What do you think?
