PS1 psx-comBINe New V5 Release!

@ADBeta confirming that the checksum of my files from the crashing ISS Pro Evolution 2 match those listed as Disc 1207 on redump.

Regarding your question about which games do not get converted correctly:

1) I have only referenced the compatibility notes on PSDEVWIKI to know if I need to use another method such as pop-fe, therefore don't bother using CDmage or psx-comBINe.

2) For games that I am not aware of any problems from using CDmage or psx-comBINEe, ISS Pro Evolution 2 is the only one so far that has crashed psx-comBINe (but it was fine through CDmage). The rest processed OK

It would be fantastic if there was a list of the traits that lead to failure of the games via standard combined bin method. Then a list that showed these games have those traits, so don't expect them to work via this method, or similar. Maybe there is, and I just don't know where.

The game itself wont be the issue, but the binary or cue files will have some kind of formatting I did not see to guard against, so knowing which game it was will help a lot so I can retrace your steps and see how it broke :) thank you for the info

I'm not aware of a list like that, but it would be cool to have. I think ISS Pro will be due to some kind of raw data issue, or a .cue abnormality my software wasn't built to handle.
As for Tomb Raider etc, they all work on duckstation for me perfectly after using psx-comBINe. I've run some tests with those files too and there is nothing too complex going on with them, so I'm not sure what pop-fe does to make it work in some other way. It could possibly be that pop-fe removes some extra data or something (fixing pregap somehow) which makes it work universally.

Not 100% how to test and improve for these games, as for me at least, they work flawlessly as is
