Use HDD Copy RAW or any other disc copy program you want.

There was no support for English that came out on the PSX. I used https://www.ps2-home.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=52&t=7336 for mine.

From my research there wasn't support at all (can't remember what my version was, as I've sold it).
Unsure how you'd update it now tbh.

Had one sometime back and borrowed a buddy of mines disc. I could never get a copy working till I got a Modbo installed. FHDBOOT wouldn't launch the disc. Apparently the update disc starts before the GameOS side comes up. They can still be found here and there but are costly. I got mine from Assembler games when they were still up. Good luck they are neat little systems.

Thank you very much,I saw the update disc in eBay, but it is very expensive.I Will usé the psx in jap xdddd.

To change the language, the PSX does not need to have update 1.31, mine was 1.10, it can be in any firmware. You just need to have freeMCboot and ulaunchelf 4.43a that recognize the HDD.

There is a way to change the official language using the HDD OSDSYS. This gives you access to the regular PS2 settings menu which allows for fun things like changing D-Terminal's output from component to RGB and also changing the language to English. This should not be done as the official XMB English translation is functionally broken.

I also do not advise installing the English hack as certain options in Video and Music are removed. In firmware 2.11, the PSP export options on a 5700/7700 are completely gone when installing the English patch. More testing needs to be done but a new patch that actually works correctly is supposed to be started later this year.

Didn't know about that possibility of changing D-Terminal's output from component to RGB in PSX DESR, this would solve my problem with PS1 games, which they get a pink and very bright image.

Is there any news on that or another way to change the output? Right now I am just using a S-video cable, but it would be nice to use the D-terminal with a gbs control for all PS1 and PS2 games
