Its something i try to understand but dont find informations about (in my language & english as well)

For Compatibility Purpose

Did i ABSOLUTELLY need to name PSX game iso in a specific way like for PS2 ISO to have recognition/marry with Webman or Irisman (...I need to use Irisman when i want to play PS1 PAL ISO when come time to create save files sadly because of my 1080p NTSC TV)

Did i need to ABSOLUTELLY name them like this (exemple) :

Star Wars - Rebel Assault II - The Hidden Empire (SLUS-00381,00386)

or for PSX ISO it dont bother and i can stop splitting my head in 4 and rename the ISO :

STAR WARS Rebel Assault II ....simply

Please
Im really curious to know about this...
Im serious , sorry beeing a complete old noob ! :(

Filenames doesn't matter except extension.

And if You puts covers into PSXISO and PS2ISO, they must be named exactly the same as disc image file. So i.e if game is named "Spyro.bin", then cover must be "Spyro.png" (not "spyro.png", not "Spyro burn troll asses.png").

If WebMAN MOD will not display covers after placing there files, reboot LV2 or just console.

@Berion , I have NO extension (If you talk about Game ID between brackets) exemple :

DRIVER [SLUS-00842]
on my USB stick the Bin/Cue files only have DRIVER name
it is okay or for better compatibility with webman/irisman i SHOULD rename all my PSX-PS1 games with Game ID
and if yes whats the proper way ?

DRIVER [SLUS-00842]
DRIVER [SLUS_00842]
DRIVER (SLUS-00842)
DRIVER (SLUS_00842)

...or ONLY for PSX-PS1 games its NOT important at all ???

In old Windowses (up to and including 8.1) turn off some important option which makes You confuse today and in future: ;)
Control Panel >> Appearance and personalization >> Folder options >> View (tab) >> Hide extensions for know file types (uncheck)
Where this is and if even still exist in Windows 10 and 11, I dunno.

As I said, filename doesn't matter. Only extension is important because on this based file detection if I'm not wrong. @aldostools

I think only PS2 ISO need specific game id to match/marry the aldostool PS2 config files inside the webman mod.
pretty sure about it now but my memories are not was it was to be...

Right, the config files. Yet it depends if WMM reading GameID from file name or from executable name inside inside disc image, which unfortunately I don't know.
