PSX-Place needs your donation (No money wanted)

Yeah..Just had a look a the "disclosure" article on my phone, jeez there is a lot of ads on there now, like 15 ads on that one page, all mixed in with the article..more ad pixels than site pixels on a phone screen :)

I had a conversation with @Wololo . He admits that by using his link that charities will get less per bundle sold by default, but he thinks that by him promoting it that it will actually get more donations in the long run for charity because he bring awareness to it.

but the reality is you have the following: People donating to the site with large amounts instead of the charity.

I just wanted to state that I strongly disagree with some of the assumptions that are being made here about me or my intents. I've discussed it at length with STLCardsWS, sadly after hours of discussion we had to conclude we fundamentally disagree. I've explained as much as I could but clearly the opinion is made and I won't change it.

Don't get me wrong: many of the things STLCardsWS has said in this thread are based in reality. They are just heavily (heavily!) painted in a light that makes me look like the worst kind of person. This includes for example assuming that honest mistakes or problems are intentional moves to screw people over.

I'm just asking people here to keep in mind that there are always two sides to a story. I would offer to explain my point of view on everything that's been said about me here, backed up by data + my personal side of the argument. Sadly doing so with the owner of this site, so far, has led to even more misunderstanding and insults, so I'm not willing to fight that fight again. However, most of you know where to find me if you want to chat.

So again: always two sides to a story. You folks are grownups so I know you can reach your own conclusions, but please understand that what's described in this thread is only one of the two sides of the story.

I agree @Wololo there are always 2 sides to any story. You have your view, and defend it. Heres the thing though, theres just a natural "stigma" that is associated with anything "charity" related. I dont disagree that you feel you should be compensated for any time you promote an affiliates link, but when that link is not an amazon link, or ebay , or whatever, i feel an imaginary "ethical" line has been crossed being that this example involves a charity.
Im not gonna battle back and forth about this as im sure you dont want to either. In the states, people suffer serious consequences for stealing from charity. In no way am i saying that is what you are doing here, but put on the other shoe and see that what humble is doing can be closely associated with that type of action. They are making it legal to use a "charity" to gain a profit, just because they are donating to it and raising awareness. I see your view somewhat in the thinking that without them or you they would recieve less, or perhaps none and maybe.
I just cant support anything that as an example is going to take even a penny away from say a kids cancer fund, and i think this is where our views are skewed.
You see only the positive impact side of the arguement, as where I, and some others as stated above only see the negative of the situation. There is always going to be some sort of stigma associated with anything that is "charity" related and the fact that taking anything away from that is just wrong no matter how justified humble, you, or anyone tries to make it for that matter. Im not trying to offend anyone, just stating my opinion as everyone is entitled to that in the very least.

Wololo you think my concerns are personal and its not the case whatsoever , you know the things that i have not liked.. Seriously think about those issues right now. While we don't need to divulge in the details again, my opinion(s) were always representing concern for whom in all those? You should be thinking the community/user/charity and if not think about it again and think about the complaints . Then also ask yourself does he just make comments about wololo or others as well,? When i dislike something I share my opinion. So is this "personal vendetta" or in those cases like warning of bad sites for example, was I making noise about something that was concern for the community?

In the disclosure you wrote, I did not feel you really own up to the mistake, i felt like you were trying to show i was over-reacting rather then owning it. Which why i wrote more of my opinion here and make sure you were aware of it with @mentions.

I think @nCadeRegal sums it up well. @Wololo have alot of respect for you and what you have done for the community. Your site s a great resource, you do many great things, but i do not like some of the things that I have outlined more then enough now. but understand its not about you or personal but about the subject matter,
