PS3 Pulse 3d headset on PS3

I looked online and found that it does not work, but...
I did a test and found out that the PS5's Pulse 3D Headset does work on PS3 despite what other liars may say.

All you have to do is follow these steps...

1. Plug in the headeset dongle to a free usb port on PS3 (hub also works) and then turn on headset. Wait for connection (solid white light on headset and dongle)

2. Go to "Settings", then "Accessory Settings", then "Audio Device Settings".

3. Turn "Input Device" and "Output Device" to both say "Wireless Headset". Press "OK".

4. Launch Game and enjoy Surround Sound via headset.

Notes:

- (PS3) There is no sound in game until you are at menus/ actually playing. (PS1 has instant sound)

- There is no sound on xmb/music and videos. (ONLY Gameplay).

- Be sure to check volume on headset as it is adjustable. Once again, Gameplay Only (not game boot, but once at menu is when sounds starts).

- Turn down other audio devices ps3 is connected to as those still get audio as well (tv, amplifier, sound bar).

- ONLY works for PS3/PS1 games as I haven't found a way to allow PS2 yet, help is welcomed. It might work with ps2_netemu emulator, but not ps2_gxemu or ps2_emu sadly as I have an A01.

- I have a (CFW) Evilnat 4.92 and also heaset audio plugin, but I do not think that these matter as I tested also when audio extension plugin was turned off and it still worked.

- Enjoy the light of this new sound .

Does the system display battery and volume level on screen?

I know the PS3 fully supports the PS4 Gold headset. It works perfect with PS1, PS3, and PS2 games using ps2_netemu with proper on screen display of battery and volume levels.

Only ps2_emu and ps2_gxemu don't support the headset at all unfortunately.

No, it doesn't show headset info. All I know is it works for sound (PS1/PS3). Ps2 not working kinda sucks for the pulse 3d headset. Listening now on Stardust (PS3) for a test.

Pretty cool for gold headset for ps4, if I had I would use but I only got the Pulse 3d. As for a Bluetooth headset, that is another pain/story and still dont work correctly in comparison. I mainly made this to state about Pulse 3d as else where said it dont work, but it does work, to an extent.
