PS3 Question about ceramic capacitors

Hello everyone,

I am trying to fix a fat K model that had a short in the 12V line, looking through the board I found a cracked ceramic capacitor near the tokins(the image is from the wiki):

I removed the cracked capacitor and the short was gone, the PS3 powered on without a problem, I don't have a replacement so I removed one from a scrap board and replaced the capacitor.
The PS3 stayed on for about 10 minutes after shutting down completely, another short occurred, again a cracked ceramic capacitor, not the one I replaced though.
I removed the cracked capacitor and replaced with one from the scrap board, again after 10 minutes another short occurred, now all 3 where cracked and shorted.
I removed then and tested the PS3 and it seems to run fine without those capacitors.
Now, my question is, I need to replace them?
Or can I just leave without them?

Now it's like this:
