PS3 Question about how to get eid_root_key from nor dump

Don't waste your time testing rebug toolbox on HEN, you can't dump your eid root key due to limited access in kernel and hypervisor.

So... There is no chance to obtain the EID root key with HEN?

Currently no.

On models with old boot loader, ERK is first bytes of meta loader (which You can get out from NAND and NOR dump), which is encrypted as I heard by CPU Key. So... If CPU Key is static (which means if it is not per console key), then maybe one day You will be able to get ERK. Maybe SysCon could help in such task but currently no one knows the possibilities. Maybe upcoming Blu-Ray fw drive hack could lead to some LV1 hacking but also it is big unknown for now. Just like the place where ERK is in newer boot loader consoles.

It might still take some years to achieve something as unlocking metldr2 for non-jailbreak consoles and open the CFW gates to everyone or unlocking LV1 access with HEN. We can only dream.
