PS3HEN Question about Webman Fan Control and Multiman

I have a question, maybe someone can help me. I used to have a PS3 Super Slim, and it would always freeze whenever I opened Multiman with the Webman fan control enabled, even in Manual mode. I sold it and bought a regular Slim, and now I leave the fan on Manual 40% just like before — but it doesn't freeze anymore when I open Multiman, it works fine. Is that normal? Is there any risk of it freezing again, or was that just a Super Slim issue? Thanks!
