{Question} Connecting ProDG to Reference Tool(s).

Hello everyone, im looking for some advice on how I might connect ProDG Target manager to my DECR-1000A Reference Tools, I have 3 Of the tools in working order and an older one that im not wanting to touch right now in case I mess something up lol. Anyways iv been trying every which way that I could to get ProDG to connect to these things to no avail. Ill list below the configurations iv been trying.

One Reference Tool I updated to 4.81 Rebug DECR and tried an array of settings.
Another is on 4.20 DECR OFW.
The Last is on 2.00 DECR OFW.

1. Wireless Laptop Tethered Via Ethernet From Laptop To LAN Port On Reference Tool - No Luck.

2. Wireless Laptop Tethered Via Ethernet From Laptop To Dev-LAN Port On Reference Tool - No Luck.

I am able to access the developers portal though via web browser using devlan.

I have tried creating a network bridge and assigning a static ip on the reference tool itself my case 192.168.0.250, creating a static lan connection with 192.168.137.1 as the address on the laptop and various other methods. I have little trouble to none at all connecting to my Devkits or other devices, only the reference tools. Is there something I am missing, I do not have the reference tool antennas that I know of though ill look around got a ton of stuff to go through does this make a difference? I dont think it should but im lost here I can provide error codes and whatever else anyone needs to get this straightened out and I greatly appreciate anyones input on the situation helpful or otherwise.

I am not wanting to set these up for modding or anything to do with online games, im looking to do this so that I might do some research and work with different options on the machine, particularly regarding BDEMU, since it has a dedicated hardrive to make use of that. Thanks!

I have connected both, the DECR 1000A and my computer to the same router and it works very well. I don't know if it works when you connect your computer directly to the DECR. Important is that your computer and your DECR are in the same network. Otherwise it doesn't work. You also have to use the DEV LAN port, the other LAN ports doesn't work with ProDG.

In ProDG you can enter the IP address from your DECR (you can find it in your router setting e.g.) and it should connect. :)

PS: You don't need the antenna, this is only for Wifi / BT.

you need to figure out what ip range your pc lan adapter is working from (set it to something static like 192.168.1.101 or 10.1.1.10). then set the ip of the tool in the same range (192.168.1.102 or 10.1.1.11 respectively). it should work. now i dont have a ps3 anymore and i didnt use target manager or proDG much but i remember setup was pretty easy.

in other words, if you are connecting the laptop straight to the tool, set them up on the same ip range. dont let anything be handled "automatically". make all static ips and make sure tey are in the same ip range :)

EDIT: the only time you will need to setup a bridge is if you want to connect the tool to the internet throught your laptops wifi adapter. but for connectivity with prodg or target manager, you dont need to setup a bridge.

the DECR i have set up in my store is connected from DEVLAN to the router. as for the laptop it is connected through wifi. if i need to connect to the DECR and it's not connecting i hold the "NETWORK INIT" button and press the power button until the network settings are reset. Then, i connect to the console by searching through target manager

Alright I tried something different this time, dunno why this worked vs the later but I did what you said with system int zecoxao, thank you btw, iv tried that before but I guess it was being temperamental and attempted the connection whilst powered off and set the ip to a static lan one 192.168.137.XXX and had it connected via dev lan to the laptop and lan through my desktop and its connecting fine and doing what I was hoping it would do. Now to try to get some dumps, and check bdemu hdd maybe work on removing size limit in ps3gen, because what 40gb isnt enough by a longshot. If I can get more information im hoping and this is just an idea at this point and time to allow partition sizing up to 1tb maybe more depending on drive and cluster sizing because of fat32 limitation but im guessing 1.5-1.75 is the limit here. As for the limitation in ps3gen only allowing for a partition size of 40gb I think that is something that can be worked on in the software end of things, maybe a kernel edit can help with this if anyone has any idea on that would be helpful, my hope is to enable true dualboot capabilities on the reference tool consoles if at all possible though I know this is going to require some serious kernel tweaking possibly lv.0 which I know at this point and time is a secure area still but who knows maybe we can do something outside of lv.0 and work from there it would be super useful for developing purposes though to be able to achieve this is at all possible.
