PS4 Question: on Unpack pkg and repack for fPKG

So, I am about a week in to the PS4 hacking scene, so I am a newb still. Although I was adept at PS3/JTAG360 etc. So I know what I am doing. And I now have a question.

I know you can unpack pkg files and I know there is a way to repack them (I think on repack).

I would like to do this with a couple games. Unpack, mod some files in the directory structure add files etc. Then repack and install. I will use Skyrim on PS3 and 360 CFW/JTAG/RGH machines for an example.

Since Skyrim used the exact same directory structure on and files on PC/360/PS3 (minus the exe, EBOOT, xex being different). Everything else was the same, down to the config.ini files. Same with Oblivion. So I was able to add some specific mods to Skyrim so long as they met a few requirements, like not needing a pc program to function (skse, etc) and they also did not suck a ton of resources ad memory and video ram was limited.

Well I again want to mod Skyrim and a few other games (Sims 4, Rock Band, ARK: Survival Evolved) Since I also own ARK on PC I can add a ton of mods to ARK that are nothing more than scripts using in game resources and textures. Plus different maps!

So, where can I find a reliable guide for unpacking pkg files and repacking them and fake signing them? I dont even know all the tools available yet. But, once I find a good guide with a link to tools used to unpack, repack and install, I will be able to add to the scene with a ton of mods for ARK and Sims 4. Not to mention Skyrim mods to VR that will help with all the issues it currently has.

Sorry for the real long first post, I hope this makes sense and if not, just ask me to re-explain it. Though I believe its pretty clear what I am asking for...(A Guide to unpack pkg files and repack pkg files and fake sign them for install) I can handle adding in the mod files in the correct areas. :)

I think you can extract a pkg with pkg view (I think 1.3 is the latest). then, use gengp4 to create a gp4 of the content. lastly, use fake pkg generator (I think the 3.38 is the latest) to create the fake signed pkg. it may be easier just to decrypt the app.pkg on the ps4 itself with app dumper. the content will be ready for modding then. use the last two steps above to create the fake signed pkg. ;)

There is no homebrew to unpack/pack fpkg as far as i know, so you can only use tools like orbis-pub-chk, and orbis-pub-gen. Remember that only fpkg can be unpacked, and also you need passcode that original creator set, to unpack it.

how to extract official app.pkg PS4.

I think you need the passcode for that. most fake signed pkgs use all 0's. I believe that's why it asks for the passcode when using orbis to extract the pkg. however, ps4 pkg viewer doesn't, so maybe it assumes the pkg? you can create your own passcode, but I've never done it. it may require it be entered when extracting.
