PS3 [Read/Write Speed]: Gigabit Ethernet Vs Blu-Ray Drive Vs Internal HDD

Hello everyone, I would like to know which one of the three listed has a better read and write speed: Gigabit Ethernet (with PS3 NET Server on a NAS/PC possibly using an SSD), Blu-Ray Drive (with game disc) and Internal 7200 RPM HDD (with ISO backups). Also, I've seen somewhere else before reports of different CFW version having a better/faster transfer speed via FTP. Why is that? If I wanted to transfer something fast via FTP, would it be possible to go back to one of those lower CFW (that shows higher transfer speed) from a higher CFW and then back to the higher CFW once done transfering? And how? And wouldn't this cause any problems?

At the moment I'm using a 3.5" Internal 1TB 7200RPM HDD with the PS3, but I plan on getting a larger HDD to use with the PS3 NET Server either on a NAS/PC since it can read my encrypted game disc ISO backups. The encrypted/non-encrypted game disc ISO backups with offline MP servers I'd like to keep them on the NAS/PC to use with the PS3 NET Server and the ones with online MP servers decrypt it and move them to the Internal HDD PS3 ISO folder.

Im surprised there's no manager with support yet for the PS3 to read and play encrypted game disc ISO backups. It'd be great if a manager like multiMAN/webMAN and the rest added support/allowed this while also using the [.dkey] of those encrypted game disc ISO backups. Also, I'm wondering if it is possible to use the PS3 NET Server and play online at the same time. If it is possible then I'd guess there would be a downside to it which is a lot of lag while reading and playing online at the same time.

Another question. Is there anything similar like PS3 NET Server out for the PS4 yet?

What is *.dkey? What contain exactly?
Disc key If I'm not mistaken. I think it is the game disc metadata, dumped using GetKey pkg on the PS3 and contains the disk_key, disc_id and PIC which is used with PS3 NET Server to decrypt the game disc ISO backup and run it. I don't think I am allowed to post links here to a wiki page that contains the dumping methods, correct?

I presumed by extension name but I'm asking about structure. ;)

Why not post it? Did peoples ban selling knives? I do not murdering, I'm only slicing bread which is easier to do with such tool rather than doing it by only bare hands.

By the way, do you have an answer about which one is faster for read/write speed between gigabit ethernet, blu-ray drive and internal hdd on ps3?

HDD is fastest which should reach in theory around 120MiB/s (but in reality 80 is at best). I have never reached more than... 20MiB/s using FTP on PS3. And BD x4 is also somewhere around 20MiB/s.

I guess is hard to check accuratelly because software and hardware adds his own bottlenecks
I always though internal hdd is faster though, and i think one of the reasons is because is using a UFS2 filesystem

With FTP dont forget the "FTP server software" you run in the PS3 is an important part of it, there are several options in PS3
-blackbox ftp (first ftp app, veeery old)
-openps3ftp (it had lot of revisions with important changes)
-ftp inside iris/man (same than some versions of openps3ftp)
-ftp included in webman (based on openps3ftp but i remember to read it was reduced the speeds to not cause problems)
-etc... maybe im missing some more, because openps3ftp is open source and is included in other apps

Also, openps3ftp had a "standalone" plugin version (in .sprx format) in the last versions
