PS3 Rebug 4.85 DEX ??

Trying to install FYV7 Mod Loader but I guess I can't if my system isn't DEX ? I tried downgrading the tool boxes but it doesn't give me the option to toggle between DEX and CEX

that's probably because you're on lite. certain things like dumping the erk don't work on anything but rex. since they don't work, the option will be missing.

You can still dump erk on Lite or any CFW. You need to be on 4.84 then do the following

  • 1.Go Toolbox

  • 2.Dump Eid Root key from toolbox(Ps3 will restart)

  • 3.Rewright Target id

  • 4.Restart Ps3

  • 5.Swap Lv2 Kernal 6.Change Active ID 'USE EID5: 85 (CEX)
The you can use DEX and go online
 
actually, the erk dumping option will be gone on ferrox. I think it's due to needing it for dex conversion, so I assume it will be gone from any cfw that doesn't have dex included.

Then use IDPSet to dump ERK on non REX/D-REX CFWs.

It is better to dump the EID5 (CEX) IDPS and use CCAPI to set it to spoof on boot of the PS3 everytime or use say webMAN MOD, SEN, PSN Patch to spoof it when the syscals are disabled or you will be constantly having to go into REBUG Toolbox to set this option adding an un needed step to goin online.
 
You guys are losing me here, lol I don't even know where to begin to install after I downloaded the files, FYV7 V10 and the eboot. I have them but I don't have no idea what to do with them.

Can anybody give me a step-by-step how to install this modloader? From start to finish? or give me a link to a video that can show me how to do it easily? A lot of videos I've seen just show me what the mod loader does but not how to install it...
