PS2 Recovery Memory Cards

Any tips for recovering a memory card that isn't working and isn't recognized by the PS2? It says "No data."
I have four. I opened them all and cleaned the contacts with a white school eraser, a contact cleaner spray, but I didn't apply much force.
All four didn't work, but today one of the memory cards started working again, but it alternates between working and not working after inserting it with more pressure.

You could try to lightly sandpaper or wirewool the contacts till it starts to show the copper underneath then a apply small blob of solder to the contacts, sometimes they oxide or corrod slightly just enough not to be readable.
Try checking the pins on the ps2 itself aswell they get bent out of placement due to wear & tear, just poke them back down with a small flathead screwdriver.

Wear off pins on port and/or card. If cleaning card and/or console port didn't take effect, you can do nothing. Personally I have such issue with 1st port and for long time helped me Lego brick 2x1 which I putting between joypad and mc. Fits perfectly. ;D

This was the third time I cleaned the gold contacts with isopropyl cotton swabs and white eraser, it didn't work and I threw the MCs in the trash
