Hi everyone. I'm honestly not sure if this info will be helpful at all, and I'm not sure if something like this occurs in other games, but since the storefront for the PS3 is shutting down soon I figured I should bring this up regardless.
So I bought myself a physical copy of LittleBigPlanet Karting off eBay and I was looking to download the Online Pass that allows online multiplayer. My code with the used copy was invalid, and despite various sources saying the pass was free and readily available on the store, I couldn't find it anywhere. That is until I booted up the game itself. If you start the game without the Online Pass downloaded, it'll show you a prompt asking if you want to buy it. Selecting yes, surprisingly, takes you to an unlisted store page for the pass where you can download it for free. Curiously, said page is displayed with the old store layout.
The reason I bring this up is I'm curious if this could somehow be manipulated to accessing other seemingly delisted store pages. If you were to modify the game to have it link to a different page, could you download something else unlisted? I'm not quite sure how any of this works so apologies if this is a stupid idea, but I wanted to bring this up in case this could be used to archive some missing titles before the store shuts down. Let me know what you guys think.
