  • jfduke3d-vita is a port of jfduke3d (JonoF's Duke 3D), a popular multi-platform source port of Duke Nukem 3D.

It supports both shareware and full game data files as well as the full game of NAM. The shareware files of Duke Nukem 3D are included in the data files.

This port implements both classic 8 bit renderer and the new 32 bit Polymost renderer with hardware acceleration through vitaGL.

  • To install the full game data files of Duke Nukem 3D, copy DUKE3D.GRP, GAME.CON and PALETTE.DAT from your installation of Duke Nukem 3D to ux0:data/jfduke3d/duke. Optionally copy all the .ogg files inside music folder as well to have BGMs support.

To install the full game data files of NAM, copy NAM.GRP and NAM.RTS from your game installation to ux0:data/jfduke3d/nam. Copy as well the file GAME.CON and rename it to NAM.CON. Ultimately copy duke3d.cfg from the ux0:data/jfduke3d/duke to ux0:data/jfduke3d/nam.

First off I just want to say thank you @Rinnegatamante for another incredible classic FPS release! Between this, Shadow Warrior, and Redneck Rampage the Vita is a Build engine beast. The performance blows the official Megaton Edition out of the water (never dropped below 60 FPS non-overclocked!)

I do want to give a heads-up, for informational purposes, to anyone that experienced this but didn't know what was happening: I experienced a replicable crash by increasing the screen size so that you get the "minimal HUD", and then playing as normal. The game will reliably crash a few seconds after changing the HUD, no matter what.

Thanks for another port for PS Vita!

If I may...
Currently I am using a shareware version.
I have a few problems:
  1. If I overwrite a save file, I cannot load it ("game0.sav" & "game2.sav" in the attachment).

  2. * I cannot finish the first level because the game is crashing at the end of it
when I have to click the "Auto Destruct" button ("game8.sav").

  3. * Some objects are breaking through "HUD":

* - Workaround for these problems is to use 8Bit Classic video mode.

I tried to launch NAM, but the application just force close.
I did added everything as in the first post. Any clues?
