Ultimate Toolbox

PS3 [RELEASE] ★ Ultimate Toolbox v2.03 - It Only Does Everything! v2.03 (FW 4.84 - 4.91)

@DeViL303 Tell me what is the best method for you to keep working on Ultimate Toolbox, I will change my CFW 4.88.2 to make it easier for you

You have helped me by testing my other CFWs, I want to return the favor

I don't want your tool to lose features, so please tell me
Hey, cheers for the offer. But your cfw is great the way it is. What was removed from the Toolbox is not important really. The stuff I removed I was not sure about including in the first place.

The main thing that people might miss is the option to sort games by name or creation date, So maybe you could include that mod by default in your CFW. There is really no downside to including that.

Some of stuff I removed was not related to rco issues, it was removed just to make updates easier in future like the BASE version and language options.

As you wish @DeViL303, I will add the option to sort games by name or creation date in xai_plugin

that would be helpful. I always have to do it manually. I haven't checked if there were changes with the registory.xml, explore_plugin_full.rco, or category_game.xml (for dlc and updates), but I made a mod for your cfw .1. I haven't transferred those files over for .2, but I might hold off if you're going to include that mod.

In this post I included the registory.xml and explore_plugin_full.rco modified for 4.88.2 if you want to try it

@aldostools Yours from here have both sort types? I am a bit confused about if I need to create another explore_plugin_full and registory for it or it can work with one

The files that I posted have registory.xml with the sort by Title (ascending order) and sort by Creation date (descending order).
The file was extracted from Ultimate Toolbox. The sort works when grouped by albums and ungrouped (all icons).

The explore_plugin_full.rco has the labels modified to say "By Title" and "Creation Date" in all languages.
Some labels for Package Manager were taken from Rebug's explore_plugin_full.rco which had them translated for all languages.

The txt_loading_icon was replaced with a ring image to avoid the rotating icons in the File Explorer
and the label "★ app_home/PS3_GAME" was replaced with "★ PlayStation"

I think you can use directly the explore_plugin_full.rco and registory.xml that I posted. I'm using it and it looks fine so far.

To create the mod I used as base the explore_plugin_full.rco from your {LAST] package. posted yesterday (July 13, 2021)

i installed UTB v2.03 on 4.88 evilnat, but the only option in the UTB folder is content downloader. i had UTB v1.03 before, but i uninstalled it correctly.

No idea why that would be happening for you. I have tried installing this fresh on Evilnat 4.88 a few times, and I can not reproduce the issue here so sorry but I can not really help.

All I can suggest is to try reinstall your CFW PUP, then download the Ultimate Toolbox package again, Copy it to dev_hdd0/packages again, then install it again. That is all I did here and its working fine. After that idk.

thanks, i copied it to dev_hdd0 and it works now.

Is the PS5 theme from the 2.0 showcase video available from Ultimate Toolbox?

Been looking all over for it but can't seem to find it.

@DeViL303 Is "Show Full IP Info" working on 4.88 Evilnat? My Rebug DEX PS3 has this by default but I thought it was a DEX only feature?
Yes it should work. It uses the xmb_plugin.sprx from 4.84 DEX. So far it works fine on newer firmware.

There might be a small risk to using DEX plugins on CEX, but as every HEN install uses the explore_plugin.sprx from DEX the risk is probably not worth worrying about.

I think we have to wait for it to be optimized for Evilnat 4.88.2, as you know this latest version adds the possibility of ordering all the content by name, but when installing the toolbox this option gets corrupted and we have to reinstall the cfw to fix it. Or does anyone else have a solution?

The latest version of Ultimate Toolbox (v2.03) should work fine. Try download it again from here https://www.psx-place.com/resources/ultimate-toolbox.1140/download?version=2042 then install the PKG, then run the installer again. This should sort it out.

You can extract explore_plugin_full.rco from Evilnat's 4.88.2 PUP or use the one included in the zip of this post

Sorry man, but I installed version 2.03 and I bricked the console I have evilnat 4.88.2, but not only does the option to sort by name disappear, it happens that I decided to uninstall it from the same toolbox after that I wanted to rebuild the file base because the console It was noticeable with lag and happened that the base was damaged and I had to format because it could not be recovered in any other way, a very nice mod but after this I do not think I will install it again. Maybe on hen or in other cfw works fine.

Thank you very much for the answer man, but after uninstalling it I damaged the file base so I do not think I will use it again, I am left with webman and the xmb mods thanks
PD: I did not modify anything and the database was damaged just for uninstalling it and wanting to rebuild the file base from the recovery and it is strange never in 10 years with the ps3 something like this had happened to me, thank you anyway
