Ultimate Toolbox

PS3 [RELEASE] ★ Ultimate Toolbox v2.03 - It Only Does Everything! v2.03 (FW 4.84 - 4.91)

When I used sen enabler it disappeared obviously since I wanted ofw mode at the time but when I changed to cfw mode and even reverted to "original spoof" it disappeared. Was it deleted? do I need to reinstall or is it hidden?

Hello i am on 4.89 cfw.
I started to use Ultimate TB, but i m not able to install the screensavers. I can stream it, download It, but how can i set the downloaded screensaver as default?

I don't think the developer added support for 4.89 firmware (s) this could be the problem.

How do I completely uninstall Ultimate Toolbox from my PS3 Super Slim with firmware 4.89? I had HEN/Modman working fine and dunno why I deceided to install Ultimate Toolbox and now HEN and Modman options are gone and when I choose uninstall Ultimate Toolbox from the Ultimate Toolbox menus it just reboots the ps3 and then PS3 is asking to "Connect the controller using a USB Cable..." everytime I choose uninstall Ultimate Toolbox it does that and after system check and corruption checks etc I get back into ps3 and Ultimate Toolbox is still there not Uninstalled :(

Please help, this Ultimate Toolbox has pretty much made my jailbroken ps3 useless. I wish i read this forum first to see if its compatible with 4.89. help anyone please. I want to completely remote this Ultimate Toolbox from my ps3.

The easiest way to remove Ultimate Toolbox is reinstalling HFW + HEN.

It hasn't been updated to support 4.89, due Sony broke XMB layout in that version. That would require to remake almost all RCO mods.

What is the best way currently to be able to monitor temperatures in PS2 games?

If you have CFW, use the PS2 emulator with the temperature mod that is included in Ultimate Toolbox.
If you have HEN, there isn't a way to monitor temperature by software due it is not possible to use modded system modules in dev_flash.

In both cases I recommend to increase the fan speed with webMAN MOD to a point that ensure that the processors are cool enough.
If the fan noise it too loud, you can try using headphones or locate the console behind the TV so it acts as a wall between you and the console and turn up the TV volume.

Depending of the model, 40% or 50% can be a suggested fan speed. On some systems you may need to set 60%. But that settings depends of many parameters, the environmental temperature, air flow, the game played, console condition, etc.

Can you give me the link of the necessary file? The topic is offline.
Just I download a single file and replace?

If you're on CFW, install and select the PS2 emulator of your preference. I use this one:
https://github.com/aldostools/Resou...s2netemu_temp_debug_req_dev_blind_enabled.pkg (Not for HEN!)

Thanks. The only difference between this file and what comes by default in CFW 4.89 is that this file will show the temperature, right? Nothing else changes, correct? Will my PS2 games continue to run the same as before?

And what is the difference between "PS2NETEMU" and "PS2EMU"?

The modded ps2_netemu is practically the same as the stock emulator. The one in my github (obtained from Ultimate Toolbox) adds 2 features: shows debug information and temperature. Nothing else.

ps2_netemu is the emulator designed to play PS2 Classics. It has been hacked by Cobra team to also play decrypted PS2ISO.
It doesn't support PS2 games on physical discs or USB. Only allows content from the internal HDD. All PS3 models can use this emulator.

ps2_emu and ps2_gxemu are the emulators used by default on PS3 phat consoles with backward compatibility with PS2.
ps2_emu is for the initial models with built-in PS2 hardware (EE/GS/Rambus memory).
ps2_gxemu is for later models that have physical Graphic Synthesizer, but Emotion Engine is emulated by software.
These emulators can play PS2 games (original/backups) on physical discs.

I also have a question related to this:
On a PS3 CFW 4.89 evilnat that was never made any extra modifications, when we run PS2 games, it runs by "ps2_netemu"?
Which files and locations should I replace?

If your console is a slim or super-slim, they always will use ps2_netemu.
If your console is a backward compatible phat model, it will use ps2_emu or ps2_gxemu by default (depending the model).
Note that I said "by default" because it can be forced to also use ps2_netemu if needed.

If you are on CFW, the ps2 emulator can be replaced in this path /dev_blind/ps2emu/ps2_netemu.self

If you are on HEN, DO NOT replace any system module in /dev_flash or /dev_blind or /dev_rewrite. If you do you could brick or semi-brick your console.

Sorry if I'm being too "Noob", but I noticed that above, you posted a "Pkg" relative to ps2_netemu. In this case, just install this "Pkg" and it will automatically replace the file? Or will I be left with two "ps2_netemu" files?

I was confused when you said to the other user, after installing, select the PS2 emulator. Will I have two emulators?

What about "dev blind enabled", do I have to enable that before installing the new pkg ps2_netemu? If so, how do I do that?

In /dev_flash/ps2emu there are 3 emulators: ps2_emu.self, ps2_gxemu.self, ps2_netemu.self

The first 2 are for phat consoles with backward compatibility (early models use ps2_emu.self and later models ps2_gxemu.self). These emulators use hardware components on these consoles. They can play ISO or PS2 discs.
There is an opcode in Cobra that allows to use ps2_netemu.self in case the user needs to use the software emulator.

All PS3 slim and superslim models only use ps2_netemu.self due they don't have the hardware necessary for the other emulators. This emulator only supports PS2 ISO images or encrypted ISO (.BIN.ENC) stored on /dev_hdd0

Since /dev_flash is a write-only device, to install the package you have to mount /dev_blind which is mount point that let write to /dev_flash (it is mounted in read-write mode).

To enable /dev_blind you can use multiMAN, webMAN MOD (just access /dev_blind from the Internet browser to mount it automatically) or use Evilnat's Custom Firmware Tools menu.

The PKG with the custom ps2 emulator only works on CFW. *** DO NOT INSTALL IT ON HEN ***
It overwrites ps2_netemu.self with a custom version that displays temperature + debug info.

I think i understood, so...

Just follow these steps then?

[1] Enable dev_blind via CFW tools menu

[2] Install the ".PKG" containing the new modified ps2_netemu

PS: Can I extract "ps2_netemu" from this pkg and simply copy it to my PS3 via FTP? In that case, should I do the procedure to enable the dev_blind before too?
After finishing everything, do I disable the dev_blind?

I came here looking for the same thing... I had ultimate toolbox on CFW 4.85, updated to 4.89 and reinstalled the toolbox without realizing it wasn't compatible. How do I remove it when I'm on CFW?

I installed ultimate toolbox v2.03 on 4.89 HFW HEN
Working but HEN Enable disappear
I still could't find HEN Enable option

Ultimate Toolbox modifies many system files. The easiest way to remove it is reinstalling CFW.

Various mods are still compatible with CFW 4.89. Mainly the RCO mods were broken on 4.89 due changes in XMB layout.
