• Zelda3 Vita is a port of zelda3, a reimplementation of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to The Past with several enhancements.

  How to set up
  You need to extract the file zelda3_assets.dat from a dump of your own The Legend of Zelda: A Link to The Past US SNES cartridge. To do so:
  
  1. Download Python installer and install
  2. Open the command prompt
  3. Type "python -m pip install --upgrade pip" and hit enter
  4. Type "python -m pip install --upgrade Pillow" and hit enter
  5. Type "python -m pip install --upgrade pyyaml" and hit enter
  6. Close the command prompt
  7. Download https://github.com/snesrev/zelda3/archive/refs/heads/master.zip
  8. Extract zelda3-master.zip somewhere and open zelda3-master folder.
  9. Place your US rom of the game named as zelda3.sfc in this folder.
  10. Run extract_assets.bat.
      
  11. Place zelda3_assets.dat file in ux0:data/zelda3
  
  Options
  Several options can be changed by editing the file ux0:data/zelda3/zelda3.ini.

probably. the original does. you just have to use a pal rom iirc, when extracting assets. I forgot the specifics, but I remember testing the android version, and I got it to display French.

hmm, I guess I was mistaken. iirc, the android version has a conspicuous option in the ini. I can't find any language altering option at least with 1.0, since I was able to compile it. I looked in my build's ini.

i found a ini french file on Discord channel and it wrok fine...

however, it's not listed in the one that goes with the vita in /platform/vita .

Yep but u cant change the language with that ini, it doesnt work

yes it don't work for me, it's always in english

I got it to work. the title screen and save selection screen will remain in english, but the rest of the game is in german:

you need both the usa version of the rom, and the language rom you're wanting, then run those two commands it says in the ini. pal will always result in english, so don't use it. use the language specific rom.

I need french for me and there is no usa rom with french language inside...

Then, you'll need the USA rom and the French rom to do so. I think pal only has English as well, but there are language-specific roms, like the one I used was from Germany. You'll be getting the dialogue from the French rom, and all other assets from the USA one. That's probably why the title screen is in English regardless.

I got it working, i have placed 2 roms on the folder "french.sfc" and "zelda3.sfc" and create the asset file !!!
