Remarry issues

Following the tuts in multiple places that all say the same thing I have gotten to the post where my fat PS3 cechg nor console is correctly in service mode on 3.55 nobd,qa toggled, and I'm supposed to power down the console, insert the "remarry USB" into the right most port, power up and let it run . It never runs though .Only boots back into the xmb still in fsm. It DOES see the USB there,it just won't use the files on it at startup .What am I missing? What more info do the console God's need from me? Anything would be helpful at this point.

you have to remove all power take the power cord from the back of the unit then use power eject combo

Sometimes the remarry screen will go very fast and you might miss it if you blink. Try playing a blu ray movie disc while in still in FSM to restore DRL/CRLs.

If it isn't working. Try another USB stick and be sure to format to FAT32, and have all the files on it. Don't forget to rename the pup file to PS3UPDATE.PUP.

Are yt links allowed here? I want to record a video of step by step what's on the USB and what steps I'm taking...

here are the files on my flash drive and the cfg folder DOES have the stanalone file in it. Have also double checked that the ps3updat.pup IS in fact the ofw 3.30.

i apologize for multiple posts b2b,i just have more info. whenever the Lv2diag.self file is on the drive,it removes me from FSM. it is not the Lv2diag_exit.self file. whenever i take it the lv2diag off of the usb,it does not exit FSM. im slightly confused on why this would happen. Also,i have confirmed that putting in a bd does nothing at all to the system. it does not load nor give me any sign at all that ive inserted a disc other that the blue light on the front. I hear it spin and continue spinning, but never shows up...

going to try this a few more times today. I will re-download all the files, hash check what i can,use a different usb drive, and hopefully that will bear some better results. If there are any tips or pointers anyone wants to give,im all ears (well, really eyes...lol) to what you all have to say. will reply to this thread in an hour or less with results.

doesn't noBD firmware remove the bluray firmware, counteractive to what your'e trying to do?
Kind of curious about that, because if i'm right.... it would explain a few problems...

that being said, its been a couple years since my last remarry, so i remember about zilch of it lol :)

You are correct. What ended up happening was tried to regrade back to rogero 3.55,got rsod, but somehow it took anyway over the rsod, still in fsm, tried again, worked perfect, played a bd,released from fsm, full upgrade to current ofw (don't really want a cfw ATM),and everything works now minus an overheating problem still giving me disc read errors. Will take it apart later today to reapply thermal compound and I should have a running system .
