RetroArch CE (Unofficial - Community Edition)

PS3 RetroArch CE (Unofficial - Community Edition) Beta 4

Genesis GX core updated to fix a mysterious bug in the start of the mega CDs, solved just by recompiling everything from the latest version.

I will take a look.....
@Crystal I have tested the gx core with all supported systems, and it now works flawlessly. Is there any way to compile a new installer package with all the recent changes?

Wrong. All arcade cores has a correct romset for it. For mame 2003, v0.78, for Fbneo, v 1.0.0.3.

You should use a rommanager and the emulator DAT file to check and correct it.
I believe you misread what I said which was the romset you use is irrelivent as long as the core you are using matches the romset. Meaning the core must be for the romset you use. However I have a mix of romsets and match the appropriate core in my playlists.

New Fceumm core updated, and starting now, retroarch core is 1.10.0 with Configuration file->Load configuration fixed and Update assets removed (retroarch method is oriented towards system with much more RAM than PS3).

.gb and .gbc.

I would use mgba but the last time I tested it with gb and gbc there were sound emulation issues which is sort of odd
because I used mgba on Wii a few years back and the sound issues were only minor.
I will consider it when i will make VBA update

Much appreciated.

And thank you for your continued work on RA PS3 until hopefully the RA team gets a maintainer for it.

VBA Next is a Game Boy Advance emulator based on VBA-M 2011 with backported patches for performance and compatibility improvements.
So it recognizes only .gba

Thanks so much for this! Works great overall, no more crashes with Mame2003-plus which plaqued me before. I've got 2 questions:

1. Does online updating of the cores in Retroarch CE beta3 work? Or do I need different modified cores and upload them locally?

2. PC-engine CD games don't seem to work, through mednafen_pce_fast_libretro_ps3 and/or mednafen_supergrafx_libretro_ps3. I just get a black screen, like with SegaCD games when trying to load them without bios in the system-folder. I tried putting PC-engine bios files in the system folder, but this doesn't seem to matter. I could roll back to an older version of the core which does seem to work, but I wonder if others have this problem as well.

ps. I love the sgenpt-mix-crt.cgp shader for use with genesis and SegaCD, it looks amazing and runs like a dream!

Untill a new PKG install file you have to do it manualli, but just once: follow this LINK

Thanks, I changed the link and will give it a go!

edit: okay I tried updating the cores after changing the link in retroarch.cfg, but it says it can't retrieve a list so nothing happens.

Also, PC-engine CD keeps crashing, no matter whether I rollback to an older core or not. It it because of Retroarch CE beta 3?
