Hi again @Crystal. I would like to comment on SAVESTATES. I tested more than 13 updated cores and with many I was successful in loading savestates from some games, from previous versions of RA (old cores). But some (Snes9x 2005 / Snes9x 2010 / QuickNES / Nestopia / Gearsystem / Gearboy) do not work the same way. Some returns to the PS3 XMB screen after trying to launch a savestate game, and anothers does nothing. Is there a possibility to "fix" this partial incompatibility?
 
Radiant Silvergun - No way. FBNeo core dosesn't support SV-T system games and Mame2003 stops after an Out Of Memory (i suppose it try to allocate a large quantity of ram that PS3 hasn't)

Martial Masters starts correctly on FBNeo core [martmast.zip and pgm.zip (bios)]
Ok I understand for Radiant Silvergun ...its too recent and ask too much ressource (like Ikaruga).
but im shocked that you are able to run Martial Master on FBneo [martmast.zip and pgm.zip (bios)
its exactly what i have on my roms folder (Final Burn Neo 1.0.0.03 specs ones) and when i load the rom with the Final Burn Neo Core 1.0.0.03.... BAM ! Fix black screen , not respond , have to push power button on the console to reboot... ?!

EDIT #2 : im my roms folder i have too :
neogeo.zip / neocdz.zip / uni-bios-40.zip / uni-bioscd33.zip

Multiple freezed black screen , had to reboot the system manually ?!

EDIT # 3 : did i forgot to put something in the dev_hdd0/game/RETROARCH/USERDIR/System ??

I tested martmast on RPCS3 emulator and it has a bit more free ram than a real PS3. I will test it on my PS3 at home. Meanwhile if the problem is the free ram, try to start it using FBAlpha2012 core. I got this before a crash caused by a Segmentation Fault:

Strange.... i tested all them (on RPCS3 emulator) with a game for every one. All save state was made e correctly used for a load.
Furthermore, only Gearsystem was update to Retroarch 1.10.0 layer. The other cores are exactly the same as before.

Really weird. I don't have a PC with RPCS3 emulator to do different tests. I'm going to perform a clean install of RA, copy my backup savestates from the old version, and make a few more attempts. This can take time; I'll let you know if there's been any change in the results.

Hi @John1971 and @Crystal. Unfortunately this is one of several games that never manage to play on the 'PS3 RA' both the 'FBneo' and 'FBAlpha2012' cores. There is a solution: the old emulator 'FBANext PS3 with core 0.2.97.08 - r487 from 07/13/2011' runs this game without slowdowns or crashes (as far as I remember). Google for it. And remember that only the romset specified in the core version should work.

No, impossible. But i will test a FBNeo light with only PGM system.

Im checking this and damn i would like to give a try and follow this youtube video tutorial


but in Retroarch CE i dont have the possibility to download the

I presume they are no way for me to download the core alone and transplant it inside Retroarch CE Cores ?
if im not able to do so ...would you think of a possibility of adding this core to it for a future version ?

Nope, anything N64/DC/PS2 or similar from that era is gonna require a dynarec.

Good morning/afternoon/evening @Crystal! After some setbacks, I managed to proceed as I had said. After a clean install of RA, my old savestates worked; except for one
of them 'Gearsystem'. After a closer check, I saw that they were made with an older core than I remembered, '1.8.5 - Gearsystem (2.6.0)'. This must be the cause of the
incompatibility. Apparently with the "problem" discovered I ask: Any way to make these savesates compatible with version '1.10.0 - Gearsystem (3.4.2)?

so everyone will be able to load the fullset entirely on a single core instead of two (having to create several folders named FBNeo ...FBNeo Light etc)

Would be a success story ;)

Standard FBNeo core is FULL, nothing is missing.... BUT some CPS games doesn't works any more cause the quantity of free RAM that is decreased with the core getting large passing time/versions. So i built a light version. Light version doesn't exist in the other systems.

well...when i try to load somes neogeo (Metal Slug 3 for exemple FBneo latest rom) i get a message that message that are "missing asset" or something like that each time i load a rom for the FIRST TIME (now the damn message dont appear anymore) while using the FBNeo Light dont give this message...

Its Strange that the Light version run more smooth than the Full Version...

But if the Full Version is literally "FULL/No Free space" then ....heck , having a 2th core (lighter) is better than nothing i guess.
