RetroArch CE (Unofficial - Community Edition)

PS3 RetroArch CE (Unofficial - Community Edition) Beta 4

Hi @Ziko, maybe i can help you. Having the rom ssf2tnl.zip - v0.7.1 (06.09.2022) - simply rename the same to ssf2t.zip e launch with the core FB Alpha 2012. I suggest putting the modified rom in a separate place, so as not to confuse/overwrite the original version.

I'll try that and see if it'll work out. EDIT: It's all good! It worked out perfectly and you helped with that big time! I can't wait to play this some more later on.

Hello all. I was using the old official build of retroarch and wanted to update to this version (The official build was freezing and not reading inputs sometimes. Just poor performance). However when I load this up after installing it, the image display is incorrect and all weird looking, as seen in the image below. Is it because I am running component and not HDMI? If so I guess I can use retroarch on my Wii or 360 but the PS3 dpad is just leagues ahead of all the options I have... hopefully someone has a solution to my problem. I looked in the thread but couldn't find anyone else having this issue. If I a missed it, I am really sorry!

Edit:

Good news! I got Beta4 to work. I was using the beta4 repack that had all the cores downloaded. Looks like I'll just have to do it by hand... probably easier anyway since I do not need many cores.

That is very odd issue, More then likely a video settings issue or detection.
You can download the cores directly from the RetroArch in the online updater within the app.
You will see Core Updater option to download core's.

I would download what you want, more then likely you should be okay now as your settings are saved.
But to save setting be sure you exit through RetroArch (not the in-game XMB "Quit Game" as your options will not save on that exit)

Hey, first time here. I've been lurking a lot but I still have an issue unsolved: Is there any way to prevent crashes on start up? It happens 70% of the time during start OR loading a content. I have zero issues on performance, but I really dislike having to reset my machine all the time.
PS: already deleted the config file but the issue still there.

Which file did you deleted?

I don't suppose there is any way to use the SD card port for ROMS on the old BC PS3 models in RetroArch is there?

I tried to look but I couldn't find the SD port through RetroArch to launch content or change the default directories.

Please don't lapidate me, I'm pretty new to jailbreaking, CFW and to Retroarch. I have a PS3 CECHC04, running on the latest CFW 4.90 from EVILNAT. I only want to play old NES and SNES ROMs. The SNES Roms aren't the problem, they are running fine. The problem starts with the NES roms. I can't seem to get them to load, it fails with all 3 NES/FAMICOM cores. On FCEUmm it quits with "Failed to load content", on Nestopia it crashes to the XMB and on QuickNES I get a blackscreen and manually have to restart my console. I tried everything, I uninstalled Webman MOD, I re-installed the CFW. Should I try turning COBRA off? Do I miss something or do all these cores not work on CFW 4.90? Sorry if I missed some information in this thread. Thanx flash

Sorry for the disturbance, I finally found the problem. MultiMan seems to have f***ed up all of my ROMs, when I copied them via USB. I transferred em via FTP, et voila, everythings back running nice and smooth.

BTW many, many thanks to your great work! :-)

I had that too, seems there is no way around. I used a smaller DAT for my NeoGeo Games, then it finally worked. Though some still slip through the scan, but I can live with that. :-)

I've been playing around with shaders. Does anyone here know, if there is a compatible version of ScaleFX AA out there for the PS3? BRZ still looks pretty good, but ScaleFX is very impressive. :-)

How to roll out a build? Where's the source? Is this a patched version of the original or is it just a build of the original without some expensive libraries? More info, please? Sorry if it's been said before, but hey... 42 pages. Thanks for any pointers.
