@Crystal how would i manually install a core off of a usb? i've searched alot for an answer and can't seem to find one.

Cores can be downloaded from Main Menu -> Online Updater -> Core Downloader.

How to roll out a build? Where's the source? Is this a patched version of the original or is it just a build of the original without some expensive libraries? More info, please? Sorry if it's been said before, but hey... 42 pages. Thanks for any pointers.

Hi, i have some issues with puae core. It runs .adf files but with .lha files retroarch crashes. With cd32 images all is ok but the colors are wrong (green color dominates). Please could you help me?

I solved updating puae core but now analogue sticks seem not working i can use only directional button.

I've never had this occur for as long as I've used the FBNeo core but Rabbit which is a fighting game only played sound and didn't display anything on my TV. I found that pretty frustrating actually. I mainly use it for the nearly 50 games on my drive now and none but that one had any issues other than Super Street Fighter II New Legacy which I had to use the FB 2012 core to play as the game doesn't work on FBNeo.

I'm using PUAE but i don't know how to manage .ipf games. I got a message error saying capsimg.so file is missing. Anyone could help me? Thanks in advance for your help

You should check fbneo dat files to see all supported games…

copy the capsimg.so file to your Retroarch system folder

Hi again @Ziko.The game Rabbit (rabbit.zip) only works with the retro loader FBNeoRLPlus_v2.20_2021-03-25.pkg from the @Crystal repository on github: https://github.com/crystalct/FBNeoRLPlus/releases. The retro loader uses an FBNeo Core optimized by @Crystal, if I'm not mistaken.

Thanks for your reply. Where can i find capsim.so file? I found a zip containing various versions of this file: Linux, Windows, Android, macos. Which should i use?

I have some isssues with cd32 games. In particular the sound of background music is crackling or it's only a rustle.

Here's an easy question for you. How do I get sound? I don't have sound effects in Retroarch and no audio in any games? Mute is turned off, and all drivers are set to PS3.

Default drivers already provides correct sound support.
Try another game / system.

Guys i wanted to use win98 using the dosbox core and maybe playing some old pc games. Do you know if it can use the rsx? Does it have the same limitations as linux otheros?

Win98 runs very slow on DoPsBox PS3. Win95 or Win31 have slightly better performance.
As far as I know, rsx is not available through that emulator and running games on Windows have a lot of overhead.

So i tried to run AOE.
That's what i did

imgmount AOE.img

And it could not find the file

Hello all, finally brought new life to my PS3. Unfortunetly when trying to install the last .pkg of retroarch i get in error partially through installation and get the error (80029566). It vary's but first time it would tap out a 33% consistently, now it's doing it 17%.

Any suggestions?

Try to download pkg again;
Check your ps3 hdd
