Retroarch not working properly now

I have never had a problem with any PS3 using retroarch until now. When i try to load up ROM's i either just get a blank screen or it takes me back to XMB screen. Before that i installed the PS3 4K Pro MOD but didn't get on with it well so i restored it back to original settings, worried that this might have altered something.

I am using Retroarch 1.70

Anyone please help!

Have you tried reinstalling retroarch?
I have a weird issue on a friends ps3:
I use an older version there (the one that should be possible to download via multiman (had to download it manually cuz it would start downloading in mm)).
After I installed retroarch I was able to launch a SNES classic via multi man, but only once. If I quit and try again I get a black screen.
It just works once after each retroarch installation...
I haven't investigated any further yet.

Yeah i have uninstalled retroarch and installed again. This has never happened before its frustrating. Maybe i should try multiman or a different version of retroarch and see if it makes a difference.

Update:- All retro consoles work apart from Nintendo, Super Nintendo and Genesis lol don't know why these aint but all others are

All working now! Had to retore ps3 system and re-install retroarch and games.

Sounds like a bad setting or path in retroiarch.cfg .. In the future or for anyone reading this later on. Here is some tips

Sometimes when retroarch is acting funny it can just be a bad setting in the retroarch.cfg Deleting it will fix many problems and when quiting your next time the new settings are saved.

Also if Re-installing, make sure you delete the installation first (as you did), otherwise if its a bad .cfg it will remain there as some versions installations do not have retroarch.cfg (so it wont be overwritten) as it will be created when quitting.

Thanks, that might help with my / my friend's issue too.
I will try, but I think I have tried uninstalling before reinstalling. I will have a look at the cfg file, maybe I can find something :)
