RGB Range Full vs Limited am i doing it right ?

i know what the differences are between the two 0-235 16.255 or something like that

anyway i dont know if am using the correct one, i am using a black clipping pattern and with rgb set to limited i have to set brightness to 54 to see 17-25 flash
but if i set rgb to full the brightness i will have to set it to like 84 to have the same bars flashing in the pattern but the screen seems overall a tiny bit brighter and with more "pop"

can someonr more knowleadgeable in the matter tell me wich one is right for me ?

It depends on the display:

TVs 'limited'
Monitors 'full'

If the tv is supposed to support full range then you would need to confirm that in the specs otherwise you'll lose (black) details at low brightness.
