PS3 Risk Assessment Of Being Banned (Trophies)

Hey everyone! I've joined the PS3 world last February after 12 years, cause i've managed to brick my old console back in 2015 (have talked about that in an older thread i've made a few days ago regarding CFW Creation questions).

When i got the new PS3 in my hands, i forgot about everything else, and hopped into it to play my old games (MW2 MW3, Driver SF and many more...), and in the process, i achieved many trophies (220), while also platting MW2 & MW3. The thing is, i created a new account for PS3, because i was afraid to connect my existing one (because of CFW), which i have from 2015 (created it on PS4, right after i bricked my PS3) and still carrying it on PS5.

The reason i was afraid to connect my main account (except the years of gaming in it, which means trophies and levels in games), is the fact that i've put a ridiculous amount of money in it on PS Store (i mostly buy games digitally since the PS4 era). Now though, i regret that the trophies i've earned on PS3, can't be shown on my main account.

So, here is where i need your opinion: My idea was to transfer the trophies to a blank user (no PSN connected yet) using apollo save tool (already tested it with MW3, and it worked after rebuilding the database, no account ID tied to the trophies and same dates EXACTLY on the trophies). Here is what i fear though:

1) Is the process 100% accurate? With that i mean to ask, do the files being modified using the tool, become properly modified, or do the leave some sort of residue that can be traced (e.g PSID metadata)? Note that i don't mean to question the integrity of the tool, i'm just curious about the way it works, because maybe it is meant to transfer trophies only locally (users with no tied PSN accounts).

2) If you take a look in the Games section in a PSN profile on PS5, you'll notice that it has a total gameplay counter for each game. So, to counter that (pun unintended :witless:), i could check how much time i've spent playing each game, and leave the console running in each game with a timer, until i reach the exact time count (e.g 25hrs for MW2), while being logged in the test user (not connect to the PSN yet in this step). But, that leads us to problem No. ...

3) I think it can be seen when a game was first played. So, if i launch the games for example, today, but the trophies are obtained earlier (February to March), isn't that a RED FLAG?

I've thought of another solution, but i'm waiting to hear your thoughts on this one first!

By the way, speaking about morality as a gamer, i think that since i've earned the trophies with my sword, it's totally fine to do that and not lose time to play the games all over (i'm an adult, i really don't have that much time to do that again, nor the courage) :beguiled:

You can't.

Trophies are binded to the PSN user and the console ID. Once those are synced, they can't be used on another account or system.

Hello! So, even though the trophies of the selected game (COD MW3) appear on the new user, and the Apollo Save Tool (MOD, downloaded through webMAN), shows no PSID to the trophies anymore, the problem will occur when i'll try to sync them to the other PSN account?

Also, let me write the other method i had in mind that i've mentioned earlier:

I was thinking to use the unlock option through the CFW, unlocking the trophies in the same time interval that i unlocked them playing (for example, i earned the (lets name them xn) x1 trophy at 22:20 on 01/03/2025 and trophy x2 at 13:45 on 03/03/2025, i'll unlock them at 22:20 on 14/03/2025 and 13:45 16/03/2025 respectively). After the necessary time has passed, i'll log in and sync them ('ill also leave the console on running each game for a certain amount of time). Is this considered safe?

No PSID means the trophies are not binded to any PSN account, so those can't be synced at all.

As far as I now, the trophy unlock feature doesn't allow to edit the timestamp. The feature will unlock the trophy at the date and hour it was executed.

Don't transfer trophies (because they are tied to PSID but also user number: on not yet bind with SEN account). Just install CFW DB then sign-in on this account and sync them. Simple...

Unlocking Trophy via XMB (feature came from DEX fw) syncing with servers but not count in statistics due to debug flag.

Yeah, i meant that i'd do it manually (using the unlock feature) by setting timers/reminders on my phone on when i should unlock them.

Unfortunately i've tied another PSN account in the user that i've first unlocked the trophies, so i can't sign in with my other (main) account.

I think the only safe option left is to replay all the games some time in a new user and log in with my main account to sync (while being on db fw every time i want to do the sync process).

Thank you for your replies guys!

Hey everyone! So, i decided to replay my games to gain the platinums (again) in a blank user, in order to sync them in my main account (the one i use on PS5).

As i mentioned earlier in this thread, i'm a security freak, cause i don't want to waste the money i've spent in the PS store all these years, just to sync my hard earned trophies on PS3. So, i'm thinking of taking the DB FW approach.

My question is: should i take any other steps (except installing the DB FW of course) before logging in, like deleting homebrew from XMB (i only have webMAN and multiMAN), delete any folders from the hdd (such as PS2ISO, PS3ISO etc), rebuild the database etc etc?

In conclusion, i guess the real question is: does PSN probe the hdd in such detail, when you just log in from the XMB, and when you sync trophies?

Thanks again and sorry for asking so much about the matter! :emmersed:

Note: because i have 2500+ trophies on my main account, it will probably take a while to sync, and also i'm about to sync around 400 more trophies from PS3, and my guess is that it will take more than half an hour, which is another reason i'm so worried...

If you care about trophies or purchases, I wouldn't take the chance using that account. Sony bans both system and account if they detect cfw. I personally have thousands of dollars invested into my account, and I started caring about trophies with the PS5. I also use the same account on the PS3 and PS5, but neither is hacked. I wouldn't hack either no matter how low the risk was, because getting banned now would be devastating.

Nobody knows what Sony looks for on a jailbroken console.
Ok, so i guess it still remains a mystery to the community after all these years. Damn :witless:

Ok, noted. I'll forget about PS3 trophies on my main account. Period!

Thanks, once again, for your replies guys. You helped me take a decision and stay protected! :cheerful:
