PS4 Running a ps3 powersupply on a ps4 gen 1

I got a gen1 ps4 and the client said the thing is dead,So i poened up and roaches killed the power supply,I cleaned the machine and noticed the fusable resister on the power supply had massive ohms reading,So for a quick test i took a ps3 slims power supply and wired it up to the ps4.
Now the ps4 went on and working fine but when i start a game to test it switched off after 4 minutes in the game,no beeps just turns off.....I then wait a few minutes and the power supply kicks on again .In the xmb all is ok but as soon as there is a load with intense gameplay it dies.

What i want to know is is this due to the heat produced from the ps3 power supply cause there aint no cooling of a fan, or is there another problem.
I dont know who or where to ask about this,Should the ps3 power supply keep up with the ps4 demands,i am not sure if it must run a 30 amp supply.
I do not have a power supply yet as i am waiting for stock but at least the ps4 is on.

Im not expert at this, but does your PS3 PSU has enough amps? I mean if 12V and 5V amps are same or more. If less it could be a problem and that could cause shutdown when it cant supply enough amps. You also could point some external fan to keep psu cool to test if thats the case.

Because I have hooked PS3 FAT PSU (APS-226, 12V 32A, 4.7v 3A) to PS4 FAT (CUH-1004A, It had dead PSU ADP-240AR, 12V 17A, 4.7v 3A) and tested with God Of War game (Dunno if its very intensive) and it have been running fine, no shutdowns. Been idling for 2-3hrs in menu - no shutdown. Playing for 30mins+ ant then idling for few hours - no shutdown.

At least thats what I think and what have tried for myself and it worked. Maybe it will be helpful to narrow down a problem.

in the xmb with the test ps3 PS it in standy for days, just as soon as i boot a game it dies.So i am thinking load.
UPDATE:i bought it from client as the firmware is 11.00.I hope getting a power supply soon to test then i will give goldhen a chance on it

You should just check PS4 PSU power output rating and compare with PS3 slim PSU that you have, it is written on PSU cover somewhere. If your PS3 slim PSU has less amps than your dead PS4 PSU its definitely an issue and will cause shutdown on load to protect system. There are some revisions of PSU's and for example if your PS4 is CUH-10xx and PS3 PSU is ADP-306 it does not have enough amps to handle the load, in XMB it seems to be fine as you said.

By the way, completed GoW with PS3 PSU hooked to PS4 - had no issues. So I hope it is just an PSU issue for you and there are no other problems.
