Recently hacker and developer @Sleirsgoevy has released the "ps4 fpkg enabler" (via @zecoxao ) for PlayStation 5 firmware 4.03. This allows for your personal PS4 personal backups to be played and also some PS4 Homebrew / Retro Emulation pkg's to be played on your PS5 with this new exploit. Attached below is a few video's that go over the subject in more detail in how to setup the process and get started on your PlayStation 5.

how far off is ps4 to be fully destroyed like ps3 was?
A couple years at least. Only reason PS3 got destroyed is mainly because Sony pissed all the hackers off back in the day lmao

They certainly learned in any case. Everything is encrypted on PS4. Someone would need to find an extremely powerful exploit which is unlikely to happen while Sony is still making PS4s and supporting it. I mean hell even PS3xploit didn't come along until about midway through the PS4s lifecycle.

Yeah, would be nice to get cfw on my 5.05.

afaik, Macarin from fail0verflow said that the bootldr was susceptible to the same fail as the metldr on the ps3, and this was known when the original metldr key was released. it would've only been a few more days till the ps3 was fully hacked. however, the lawsuits scared most hackers away from the system, so it took another 18 months for it to be released, and that was anonymously I believe, which is antithetical to who most hackers are. they want to be known for their skills/exploits/etc, so I don't think anyone wants to make that same mistake with the ps4, because the nda for hackerone says you can't release anything that could damage sony or its customers. a full hack obviously would, especially if you could sign in. it at least says you'll be banned from hackerone if you were to do so, but you'd likely be sued as well. and, after what happened with GaryOPA of switch fame, no one wants their life pretty much ruined just for hacking something as insignificant as a gaming console.
