PS3 Safe to use PSN after activating PS3 offline?

I upgraded my hard drive to a bigger one and I think it automatically deactivated my system. I tried logging into PSN through my account to reactivate but got an error message. Perhaps because I deleted history and disabled system calls who knows. Anyways, a few games wouldn't work without activating my ps3 and since I couldn't do it the normal way I just did it through Apollo Save Tools. Now those games load fine, but I'm wondering can I still play other games online with a fake activated ps3? Or will Sony pick that up?

Do I even need to log into PSN to play some games online? I was hoping to play COD: black ops 1 zombie mode.
 
You cannot log-in to SEN (PSN not exist today) if you activated account by random ID because it not exist on Sony side and you will not get any new. It is fine ONLY if you used your own NP Account ID.
