so... i have a cechg ps3 that i have delidde and substitute 1 nec tokin for rsx and one for the cell...
whaching the video from rip felix and doing some research i discovered that the main problem on the ps3 is a bad combination of high lead bumps and low tg underfill... and because of that the underfill became too "liquid" over 70c celsius and does not support well the bumps... this for my understanding of thermodynamics generate a tensile force on the bumps causing them (with the addon of electromigration) to crak till an enough number of them causes the bitraining to fail on step 40...
so if i'm correct maintaining a temperature of >65 deg on rsx and cell does not let the underfill to get too "liquid" and so eliminating the bumpgate problem...
now my ps3 runs as cool as it can get... in game it run at 60_63 deg with 35% fan speed...
what do you think? it's a solution or it still can ylod ?
