I got the PS2 from an old arcade, when I got it it was modchipped (can't remember what modchip it had). I had given it to a friend to keep for awhile, and during that time he decided to remove the modchip, after which he decided to give it to me to see if I can repair it.
I inspected the motherboard dozens of times, none of the fuses were busted, none of the solder points were bridged when the modchip was removed. It sat on my shelf awhile, I decided to try to modchip it again (with a Matrix Infinity 1.88) in some vain effort maybe to get it working again.
Once I finished with the soldering, the Matrix splash art would show and it just froze on a black screen as it did in the past failing to start the bios I assume. Using the Matrix config menu, I set it to boot in DEV1 mode to boot from the memory card directly into uLaunchELF.
It will start most elfs, OPL will just get stuck on loading, FMCB config won't start either, MechaPwn works and I changed it into a DTL console just for shits and giggles but to no avail.
Where can I go from here?
